The presentation of this puzzle game is immaculate, with beautiful hand-drawn art and colors, and great animation. It lends itself really well to the perspective-shifting puzzles in the game.

That said, the game is extremely short, and can be beaten in an hour. It's a fun time, but did not last nearly long enough to really captivate me. The puzzles themselves are all cool too, but there were times where it was a bit unclear what my goal was or what I could manipulate in the scene. Worth playing in the end.

A super late 2017 release, but a little nugget of greatness nonetheless. This ingenious and challenging puzzle game revolves around manipulating your perspective to progress the game’s fascinating and bizarre, fable-like journey. Both the way the difficulty ramps up along with the particularly interesting scenarios makes Gorogoa a can’t miss puzzle game.

Cute and short little puzzle game with great visuals. Played it while drinking a nice cup of tea in an afternoon. Recommend it.

Awesome puzzle game with such beautiful graphics. I found it to be one of the prettiest games I played lately, with a great mechanic and a good level of challenge overall. Most of the puzzles can be solved just trying different combinations, but even trying things is beautiful in this game. Sound design and music are not memorable, but they are very well done and very appropriate. I loved it.

Beautifully presented. As a puzzle game it strikes an excellent balance giving you puzzles that require a hefty amount of thinking to make the right connections but always giving you enough direction by limiting the tile environments to what's absolutely necessary that you never find yourself truly stumped and frustrated about what to do next.

the best a 1-sitting game can be

Rayadita guapa, abstracta y cortita

Unique and interesting format for puzzles! It had me stumped enough to look up a quick hint twice. Very short but has charm.

Gorogoa is unlike the vast majority of puzzle games. It offers an entirely fresh perspective on puzzles, with unique interactive mechanics and an intriguing plot.

It’s something that you simply cannot miss out on playing, even for non-enthusiastic puzzle gamers.

Will not rate a 5* simply because I wanted a little bit more playing time.

The art is so good I want to replay it just to see all the scenes I missed the first time

Wonderfully illustrated puzzle told through a story. There are no words, no dialogue spoken. The story is told in an abstract manner, jumping from scene and different timelines. I knew very little starting into the game and I strongly recommend experiencing it for yourself.

The game has illustrations that feel hand-drawn from a story book. There is a wide range of emotional scenes: peaceful, somber, frightening, etc. The designers did a great job with the art style. The puzzles were unique and fun to find a new picture.

It was a short experience. I'm not sure exactly how long I played since Nintendo refuses to give us that option. I know I spent some time scratching my head on some of the puzzles but still felt short. However, the story did feel complete. I rather have a tighter, complete game experience than one trying to pad time with monotonous gameplay.

I've been meaning to get to this one for years now. Glad I finally sat down for it, it's such a gorgeous curio.

Its themes and tone is incredibly captivating, equally paired with possibly the most exceptional scale of puzzle difficulty I've seen in a while - I don't think I ran into anything that I both could solve immediately with my given knowledge at the time nor found myself stuck at for hours on end. Absolutely a title I'll consider coming back to after I've had some time to forget the solutions.

Sights & Sounds
- The art direction is amazing. The storybook style works well with a puzzle game like this
- The music is appropriate, but you won't be humming along or anything

Story & Vibes
- There's not much of a story here, or if there is one, it's very well hidden
- It's mostly just a chill puzzle game. Relax, enjoy the art, and try to figure it out

Playability & Replayability
- Like most point & click puzzle games, you'll be pointing and clicking to solve the puzzles
- I suppose there's some replayability in terms of trying to go back and get all the achievements, but I'm not feeling motivated to do that. Beating the game in 30 minutes seems stressful

Overall Impressions & Performance
- The game looked amazing and ran perfectly

Final Verdict
- 7/10. Well worth your time if you can snag it cheap. Otherwise, the price is a little steep for a 1-2 hour game

A great puzzle game that it's difficult to explain. It's like a picture book with hidden puzzles married with a great artstyle. I really wish it was a bit longer since you can finish it in almost 2 hours. A great game nonetheless.

Does a lot with simple inputs. Great 2-3 hour puzzle experience

A unique puzzle with captivating visuals. Really liked this game. Every puzzle is satisfying to solve and feels very well structuralized inside the setting it is in, because of which each solution is logical and there is no sense of bullshit. I have nothing to say about the story since I didn't follow it that much, so the deeper layers are unavailable to me, but it is good enough even on the surface to be fitting for the game of this genre.
Rating: 7.9/10

Beautifully clever puzzle game that combines art and coziness with time and space warping cosmic horror!! 11/10 :)

wait, what if I do this? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH OK I GET IT
Great puzzle game with very well thought difficulty

The puzzles are very interesting from the design standpoint - so many original and interesting ideas built on such a simple concept. But solving them isn't really all that fun. Most of the challenge came almost exclusively from the fact that I forgot about one of the mechanics or just plain didn't know about it. It's also a bit too short.

The art and animations are gorgeous. The story is told in such an interesting and original way that it makes the game worth it just for that. I also like how unconventional it is for a video game - I feel like every person might understand it differently, as there's plenty of symbolism involved, which is still pretty uncommon (unless we're talking about something like Milk outside a bag of milk(...) which to me is just completely incoherent - Gorogoa actually comes through as much more sensible, naturalistic and relatable to an average person).

A cool auteur (one guy made this) game. Spiritual/surreal puzzler all about placing images on top / within each other to change perspective.
