A very cute spin-off of the main series. The art style is adorable and is creatively used in the level design, the music is very chill, the levels still managing to be engaging despite their easier difficulties. My favorite world is the space one, there’s a lot of cool level gimmicks in that one. The transformations you get are also very cute and help mix up the gameplay. The story is very dumb and silly and I like it a lot because of it. The narrator in the cutscenes and the art style help give it a storybook-like feel to it.
My only gripes are that some of the transformations are kinda irritating to use (by some I mean that DAMN TRAIN) and 100% is obnoxious to get. This game likes to do that thing where missing a collectible means that you’ll have to redo the ENTIRE level just for another shot at getting it. The challenges you have to do aren’t bad on their own, it’s just that there’s way too many of them. (30 race challenges??? WHY???????)
It’s not a big deal at the end of the day, since 100% isn’t a requirement, but as someone who likes to 100% their Kirby games, this stings a little.
Overall, this is a great entry in the Kirby series and one I plan on coming back to someday.

Nostalgia factor carries this game hard. I loved playing this game growing up with my sister and beating it repeatedly. Making my house a bundle of mess and stickers being everywhere.
Other than that i have my clear gripes with the game. It being a kirby game, it's gonna be extremely easy. Though I think they played into this a bit too much with this game. A lot of the design choices are cool and unique, but I don't know if that most of them really worked.
Regardless of that I will still love this game with all of my heart. Got me through a rough time, and is easily one of my favorite kirby games for sure.

First rented from the local library, later picked up our own copy from Wal-Mart. Also my very first Kirby game.
Earned 100% on my save file, twice if memory serves right. As it is one of my sister's favorite games, I'll always be happy to return to this game, even if we keep dropping beads everywhere.

I played this game when I was still a child, so I was still at the right age to play a Kirby game.
I actually had fun playing this one and I really like how much personality and creativity it had with the whole yarn aesthetic. I don't remember much more about it, and I don't play Kirby so I don't know if this is one of the better ones or whatever.
