the "Pleb Filter" of the kirby series. many people who try to play this game will end up feeling crushed by its enjoyable atmosphere and give up on it for being "too easy", if you are fortunate enough to be able to appreciate the games truly extreme ease of play, you will find that this is a very fun entry in the kirby series that includes many things we all know and love (yarn, felt, etc.)
easy as piss but i dont fucking care honestly
kirby is possibly the cutest series out there in a lot of aspects and this game isnt exempt from this reputation
the art direction is the main thing that lures you in and makes the experience just that entertaining
the whole world is made up of materials that I could feel the texture of through the screen and it also creates beautiful foreground and background action and interesting platforming (and puns to boot)
per se the game is made to be the chillest stuff ever in the universe mixing ambient or somehow soothing music and gameplay where you can't die so you just fucking walk around until the end of the game
the bosses were a bit of a tedium but overall I liked the direction these battles took even though again you cant die AT LEAST YOU CAN BE IN THE SAME SCREEN WITH META KNIGHT my sweet baby i love you so much
anyway if you want a game that is incredibly difficult and tests your skills get the fuck out of my way but for people who want a sweet and relaxing experience and also love kribri . hey there~
cant believe this game fucking invented yarn
also side note since i didnt know what the fuck yarn meant (i mean i had a very good idea about what it meant but anyway i wanted to double check ok i have anxiety) i found out that yes . it means thread but it also can be used figuratively as long story or tale which is the format in which this game narrates its story and its also in the title so the title would mean kirby's epic long story . wow english is such a weird language and i cant fucking believe they PUT ANOTHER FUCKING TAILORING PUN IN THE DAMN TITLE KRIBRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

I played this game with my baby cousin, who's father had bought this game intentionally as one of their first digital romps. Sure, her constantly wanting to be in the lead got old fast, but seeing her excitement whenever she told me her favourite parts, what excited her, what scared her, and what amused her were some of the memories I knew she would cherish. She loved showing me every little thing, and having had over 50 hours on her save file just from replaying levels alone, I knew she was having the time of her life playing this game.
I got what I wanted during my 5-hour marathon for this game, but I know deep in my heart, my baby cousin is still getting everything she ever needs from just this little Kirby game, and I'm forever grateful for that.

Prós: A narrativa estilo história infantil é charmosa; Sua arte e gráficos são lindos demais; Trilha sonora alegre; Jogabilidade ótima; Level-Design excelente e diversificado.
Contras: Alguns dos desafios dos apartamentos chegam a ser chatos.

This game should be pretty boring. The pace is slow, there is virtually no challenge, and its not even really a Kirby game, but there actually is some fun to be had. visually it looks very nice and there are some well made puzzles and bosses. it would be a great game for someone under the age of 10. it is fun though, and its pretty short.
Kirby's Epic Yarn is one of the easiest games I've ever played but that's totally fine (unless you are looking for a challenge in which case you shouldn't be exploring the Kirby series to begin with) since it goes hand in hand with the relaxing nature of the game. Adding to the lack of challenge, you have beautiful yarn-based artsy graphics and art direction with a mellow soundtrack creating one of the most chill and relaxing gaming experiences out there.
The lack of challenge creates some monotony in the overall design and tone of the game but the true goal of the game is to provide a unique audio-visual experience for players. This is the perfect palate cleanser type of game.

This game is so, so special and you cannot convince me otherwise. I don't know how many times I played through this game for months, probably years after it came out, but the feeling that Epic Yarn evoked in me is something I'm not sure I have exactly felt otherwise. This might legitimately be the best "easy" game ever made, which anyone could define differently but you probably get the idea of what that means. It is so charming I just want to take the game and squeeze it into a tiny little ball.
Every detail in this game is so thoughtfully crafted it hurts, it's just endlessly adorable and creative and worth every second to play through. Every cute little animation, like Kirby turning into a car or a sled or a rocket or parachute is made so well, every beautiful level carefully designed to fit a particularly theme, hell just talking about it makes me want to go back and play this game again.
Every single bit of this game just oozes charm and I don't think I'll ever get over how wonderful it is. Everything is backed by one of my absolute favorite soundtracks of all time; the entire thing is beautiful, calming piano covers or original pieces, many of which are some of the most memorable songs for me in any game I have played. Epic Yarn also paved the way for a bit of a mini genre of craft-focused games, with Nintendo having made several since, but none of these from anyone have exactly captured the charm that Epic Yarn has crammed in every nook and cranny. I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard anyone call this game a masterpiece before, but I have no doubts in my mind when I say it myself.
10/10
