Genuinely great anime arena brawler, has a shit load of characters to choose from and all of them (aside from the three version of Midoriya, two versions of Shiggy and two versions of Overhaul) feel very distinct from one another, it let's you customize you're favorite characters with clothes and gear, you can set said characters up in a photo mode and make a sick picture,
only thing I didn't like was the story mode, if I wanted to "Re-experience the story of MHA" I would just rewatch the anime, not playthrough a version made with 2 cents and shoelaces,
MHOJ2 rocked me harder than expected, it's a great step above the first instalment and MILES better than what ever the fuck Jump Force was.

I heard some nice things about this game about it being a arena/traditional fighter hybrid but that neither group of players was satisfied with it. With the Ultra Rumble brainrot still in effect and a nice discount i decided to give it a chance and it was better than i was expecting. It's 100% a kusoge, but it's a lot of fun to play. It's not super deep but the combo system is good enough for it to not become a button masher, it feels good to control and the characters are fun.
My favorite so far is Mr. Compress, he has some cool meterless combos and and interesting kit.
My only issue is that meter builds up too slowly, supers don't seem to be worth it most of the time over dash cancels.
The game modes are... fine.
Story mode is really lame, i only played it to get some Compress masks and unlock 2 characters.
Mission mode is a grindfest but not terrible.
Why can't i use my custom outfits in this mode?
Arcade i find it to be enjoyable most of the time, i like the little interactions you get after the fight. It's only annoying when you get one of those CPU that counter everything you do frame 1.
Character customization could be better, there are lots of pieces but most of them are recolors and pieces of other characters, it's hard to make something look good.
Overall, it's fun. I like to pick it up when i don't have to much time to play, pick a random character, lab some combos and beat their arcade mode.

As a BNHA fan, it was amazing to play the characters, manga, super powers and fights that I love each and every one of them. I realized that I was improving myself when I performed the fights that I imagined would happen in the anime with other people and as I learned the combos and characters every day. At the end, I couldn't stop myself because I'm a Kohei Horikoshi fan ww.
It's quite nice to be able to play your beloved characters in this anime. I just had to buy some specific characters, like Hawks and Midnight. While the gameplay mechanics are easy to get around with to be decent, some computer-controlled opponents can kick your butt. I was not able to finish the story as it's basically 1:1 with the anime. A good arena game; nothing too mind-blowing.
It's definitely a good arena fighting game (so you know, still a mid-to-bad ACTUAL fighting game lmao), something you can play with your mates, especially when you are drinking so you can't play anything that requires a lot of effort, if your a fan of My Hero Academia it's got a good chunk of the characters from the anime and it does justice to their portrayal I guess. It has a lot more going for it than the first game, but god fucking damnit, am I god damn mad that the devs dropped Steam remote play together for no reason.
Not really a fan of games based on anime series since I don't really watch them. Kinda got it cause I was a little bit into the show at the time and two of my friends got it. It's a fun casual fighting game but terrible for any kind of competitiveness. The balancing in the game is terrible and some fighters are miles better than others. The campaign was fine and the other single-player content is just ok.
Final score: 6/10

The roster is massive but I really dislike most of the gameplay changes from 1 to 2. Spending your super gauge on dash cancels make for uninteresting combos. The story mode was actually REALLY difficult. The final boss is so AWFUL. I dropped the game out of frustration.
HOWEVER- YEARS LATER- Playing online and learning the tricky combos with each character is a BLAST. This game rocks.
