I heard some nice things about this game about it being a arena/traditional fighter hybrid but that neither group of players was satisfied with it. With the Ultra Rumble brainrot still in effect and a nice discount i decided to give it a chance and it was better than i was expecting. It's 100% a kusoge, but it's a lot of fun to play. It's not super deep but the combo system is good enough for it to not become a button masher, it feels good to control and the characters are fun.
My favorite so far is Mr. Compress, he has some cool meterless combos and and interesting kit.

My only issue is that meter builds up too slowly, supers don't seem to be worth it most of the time over dash cancels.

The game modes are... fine.
Story mode is really lame, i only played it to get some Compress masks and unlock 2 characters.

Mission mode is a grindfest but not terrible.
Why can't i use my custom outfits in this mode?

Arcade i find it to be enjoyable most of the time, i like the little interactions you get after the fight. It's only annoying when you get one of those CPU that counter everything you do frame 1.

Character customization could be better, there are lots of pieces but most of them are recolors and pieces of other characters, it's hard to make something look good.

Overall, it's fun. I like to pick it up when i don't have to much time to play, pick a random character, lab some combos and beat their arcade mode.

Genuinely great anime arena brawler, has a shit load of characters to choose from and all of them (aside from the three version of Midoriya, two versions of Shiggy and two versions of Overhaul) feel very distinct from one another, it let's you customize you're favorite characters with clothes and gear, you can set said characters up in a photo mode and make a sick picture,

only thing I didn't like was the story mode, if I wanted to "Re-experience the story of MHA" I would just rewatch the anime, not playthrough a version made with 2 cents and shoelaces,

MHOJ2 rocked me harder than expected, it's a great step above the first instalment and MILES better than what ever the fuck Jump Force was.

Switch the combo option to "manual" instead of "normal". It's a whole other game.

Fun but very easy. Completed in a few hours with not too much variety in game

looks at the bald man stop copying me

Decent game. I've had great connection when playing Multiplayer with my partner. Yet the grind for currency and story mode are lackluster. Overall fun to play though

Pretty okay Arena Fighter i guess

I love My Hero Academia, so I was super excited to replay this game and I still really like it, it's fun

Still better than ninja storm

okay
é meu anime preferido mas o jogo é meh, okay

I haven't even watched the anime, I bought this game to play it with my sister because she likes it. I wasn't expecting much but the combat in this game is really fun and doesn't leave much to be desired, the attacks are satisfying to hit and the characters are fun to play as. The story mode has that low-budget charm to it and it's a blast to play through with a friend. I'd recommend this even if you don't know shit about the show like me.

A really good arena fighter.

Each character functions differently, leading to different combo routes. In addition you can have 2 supports which add more depth to the game.

The customization is pretty neat although, I wish the game offered more options to customize your character like in Tekken 7.

The roster is massive but I really dislike most of the gameplay changes from 1 to 2. Spending your super gauge on dash cancels make for uninteresting combos. The story mode was actually REALLY difficult. The final boss is so AWFUL. I dropped the game out of frustration.

HOWEVER- YEARS LATER- Playing online and learning the tricky combos with each character is a BLAST. This game rocks.

genuinely the worst anime arena fighter game i've ever played. character selection is cool but that's it.

Better than the original, but it's still not good

This is a miserable experience both mechanically and in terms of recapturing the magic of the series

Arena fighter has no business being this fun

Cool story mode, but playing everything else was grindy and bland. Will probably skip future games from this dev

It's quite nice to be able to play your beloved characters in this anime. I just had to buy some specific characters, like Hawks and Midnight. While the gameplay mechanics are easy to get around with to be decent, some computer-controlled opponents can kick your butt. I was not able to finish the story as it's basically 1:1 with the anime. A good arena game; nothing too mind-blowing.

Better than the first in every way, with an English dub (finally), a barrage of Team Plus Ultras, more characters introduced in the latter half of season 3 and season 4 (with DLCs included), and another solid story mode.

The only downside to this is that some characters you're fighting against can be a bit of a nightmare. Looking at you Nejire and Gang Orca.

A disappointment of an adaptation, to say the least.

Eh, good with friends not much else

A slight improvement from the first game with a lot more varied roster of fighters to pick from. Still very bare bones and lacking depth when it come to the competitive growth that it could have had and dlc is just more of the same once again.

A big improvement on the first game for sure, I enjoyed playing as the OP characters.
