Um pitelzinho em forma de 8bits.

wooooooooowoooooowooooooaaaaaah!
yeah i definitely won’t be playing this anytime soon! i love the retro feeling tho

The quintessential WayForward licensed game; a good skeletal foundation, but with no meat on its bones.

Things start out promising enough, with both Mordecai and Rigby controlling satisfyingly, and a promising central gimmick where you switch between gameplay and perspective on the fly (ground-based platformer, 2D shooter, top-down shooter) but it feels more like an unfinished proof-of-concept rather than a fully realized title. The level design is about as dry as it gets, with drab, featureless platforms and mazes lacking any sort of variety or creativity (a common problem for licensed WayForward titles, believe it or not).

Enemies are listlessly plopped into the environment with no real rhyme or reason, and worse yet, the hit detection is atrocious, requiring you to land pixel-perfect, dead center on their sprites, which doesn't really work seeing as how many of them are thin, small or both (there's a reason why Mario and Sonic enemies are always short and squat). As a result, you'll usually end up avoiding enemies altogether, which is a death sentence for a 2D platformer.

If there's one redeeming, fully realized quality, it'd be the presentation. Jake Kaufman fires on all cylinders with the BGM yet again, and the visuals nail the look of the show, all filtered through the gorgeous spritework that we've come to expect from WayForward, not to mention great little touches like the space background being recycled from the title screen, as it is in the series. It's clear that the dev team were fans of the source material, and by that metric it might be worth a cursory glance for diehard fans of the show, but the cool central mechanic is wasted on a game that feels like it was rushed to its deadline by the licenseholders, a familiar tragic tale for many licensed games.

Licensed games for movies and shows have a bad history and this game is no exception. The game is not very fun at all with most of the game being a series of one-hit deaths due to power ups not being able to be moved between levels. The enemy balancing feels not good at all, making the levels feel much too difficult. The bosses didn’t really feel too bad but the final boss was way too hard and just showed how bad the combat in the game is. Also my game kept crashing during the final boss.

Wow, I can't believe the cold reception on this game, because this is actually so fun and creative. I will admit the controls leave a lot to be desired, but that's easily the worst part of the game, plus some questionable design choices on a couple of levels. But otherwise, it's quite fun. The gimmick of switching between platforming and either 2D space shooter or overhead shooter (à la Blaster Master) is very fun and much more creative than I expected from this game. Plus, the soundtrack goes very hard.

It's not perfect, and only has sixteen levels plus bosses, but I genuinely don't get the legacy of negativity surrounding the game - I've heard it been called the "worst Cartoon Network game", no way can that be true.

game was unnecessarily hard for 11 year old me

This game was surprisingly better than I thought it would be. You can switch between Mordecai and Rigby and play through platforming, side-scrolling and top-down shooter levels. The final boss fight was pretty challenging.

Why must my favorite cartoon have what is one of the worst licensed games I've ever played, and trust me I've played so many licensed games my virginity card is a thick has as a Harry Potter box.

Mordecai: Ok ok I've got the perfect solution. Wayforward.
Rigby: Whaaatt? You can't way my forward! That's gotta be illegal.
Mordecai: No the devs, Wayforward.
Rigby: Oh never heard of em.
Mordecai: Yeah I know you wouldn't have, you gotta be in the know to know, ya know?
Rigby: No
Mordecai: And that's why you've never heard of em. But trust me these guy are like real, REAL indie game developers. Just play some of this and it'll blow that AAA garbage right out of your system.

blandest platformer you've ever fuckin played
Mordecai: Wait wait!
game is only 2 hours long but every level feels like a fuckin eternity
Mordecai: Oh man, that's like the best part!

Rigby: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Mordecai: Rigby!
Rigby: What? Ah I think your game just put me to sleep.
Mordecai: Man you have no taste in games.

Geçen sene oynadığım 3DS oyunlarından biri. İyi oyun.

I don't think I will ever come back to this game every game. Good things about this game? Well I love how they brought in the enemies from the show in. I also love the retro feel of the game.

Honestly fuck this game. I'm sorry but I tried to beat it. Tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Challenge in games is fine. Like Dark Souls, Final Fantasy VII Remake. But this game is challenging in a bad way. The whole "one hit, you die" rule is annoying as hell and make things impossible for you to get through. At least when Mario games have that one hit, you die rule at least you get powerups to help you. Here? They only give you the Death Kwon Do powerup only once, or don't even do that at all. The spaceship gameplay went from being fun and interesting to being bullshit. Too many enemies in those sections for me to get through too escape or even fight at all.

As a fan of Regular Show, just watch the series. Don't ever touch this game or give it the benefit of the doubt. I mean you can try it out if you like, but I honestly don't wanna give this game another chance at all.

Way too hard to be enjoyable, but the fact it’s a love letter to master system and Genesis games is something you don’t see everyday

It always the things I like that get a bad game

I don't have the words to describe my disappointment. This game feels like a betrayal to Regular Show fans. The game's mechanics were so bad, I couldn't stand playing more than a hour. This game is definitely not the game that Regular Show fans deserve.

Ended up getting this game more than a decade ago because I was such a big fan of the series. But this got extremely poor reviews when it came out which is why I didn't actually play it until now. It's a much shorter game, but this is packed with tons of references to the show and some delightful 8-bit-inspired gameplay. The boss fights in particular are super fun and had me grinning throughout. The gameplay is a bit minimal at times but it is still very consistent throughout. I really enjoyed this and don't get the hate at all. It's a fun platformer that Regular Show fans will love even more!

Another fun WayForward romp, this time mashing together the platformer, schmup, and top-down shooter genres. The game is held back by a short run-time and not much connection to the series, but it's still decent for what it is.
