Same as the previous game. There weren't really any big improvements in the sequel. The locking picking game that works like that old flash game where you're flying a missile down a tunnel that has rotating discs you have to slip through is extremely funny to me.

Joins Crackdown 2 and Ken's Rage 2 in the legion of 7th gen sequels that feel like photocopies of photocopies, feeling like an asset pack for the previous game with all the intrigue pressed out

I just saved your life, you ungrateful shit

Where did it all go wrong? Sequels are supposed to be better than their prequels, but in the case of Saw, this is a regression. Combat boils down to a QTE, with zero strategy involved. The story is detached even further from the films, Tobin Bell sounds like he's here just to collect a paycheck. This is just a small snippet of the issues with Saw II, I would not recommend this to anyone.

How we got to number 2 in this game is beyond me.

This game makes worse every gameplay aspect that made the first game enjoyable. The ending is SUPER anticlimactic. It's just not worth your time. But the first game is.

As one of the only defenders of the first game, I can't in good conscience say that this one passes the test. It feels tossed-off, committing the grave sequel sin of trying too hard to rush into a potential franchise rather than fleshing out into its own game first. Ugly graphics, truly and deeply janky gameplay, a story that the writers couldn't have cared any less about, along with having one of the shittiest combat systems of all time. Still, it's a passable bout of seventh-generation dumb fun for a couple playthroughs - and many of the good directions taken in the first game do reappear here (I'm a sucker for those electrical P2P puzzles). But sadly this remains weaker than its predecessor in pretty much every respect and is perfectly indicative of Konami's knack for beating its poor franchises into the ground at this point in time.

This is pretty much a downgrade from the first every sense, still the overused traps, the combat is literally just QTE'S, and the bugs are insane and almost game breaking.

Best things I can say about it is the idea of choosing the ending of the game in the beginning then filling in what happened before with the rest of the game, some better main traps, and tapp's son looks jacked with great muscle definition, Zyzz would be proud 💪

This game is terrible, even compared to its predecessor. The Story is that David Tapp's son Michael is captured by Jigsaw for betraying his dad for journalism and Michael needs to discover who lead to Tapp's suicide and get out of there, this Story is not bad, there's nothing about it to complain about. The Characters are all bad this time, except for Jigsaw, Michael is not a likeable protagonist, he has no big personality except for betraying his father for a career, Sarah is an asshole for no good reason, Carla from the film has been reduced to selfish woman, and the 2 cops are literally trying to kill you to keep their activities you now know about silent. The Graphics are less stylish and more pasted on than the first game, it shocks me how they made it look worse. The Gameplay is same as the last game, but only 5 trials and random 3 encounters with subjects along the way, these Griff and Anton's encounters are interesting because your actions change their fate, adding more control fun into the game, although Zeke is an idiot who blames Michael for his hand loss despite the fact, he's only alive thanks to Michael's help during the puzzle, The puzzles are not as interesting as the previous ones and some are not close to being as good, like just the balancing beam where it went from moving the player to the center, to that but add clicking both triggers instead of moving with the left analog stick, this pointless choice is an example of the creators, changing stuff to make them better when they don't need to and end up making them worse. The Traps are not as interesting as their former counterparts, and the wire trap has changed so that if you run at it, you do a QTE to avoid it, and if it does hit you, you get injured, but you don't die, also Michael shouldn't duck his head forward when avoiding shotgun bullets. The Combat has been replaced with QTE's making them better, but less enjoyable. The puzzles to save everyone are easier since you can pause the menu and look at them for as long as you need. But 1 of them doesn't make any sense, Joseph, he is seen walking around the base before being in a trap and well he was up he said he had to get Michael, so why would Michael rescue him? it makes no sense, also the other characters are only in the story when needed, and Solomon who's not needed afterwards leaves the story just after he's rescued. The Ending is caused by Campbell at the beginning's choice changing Michael's fate, if Campbell survives, Michael gets crushed to death and Campbell dies attacking Jigsaw anyway, disappointing, but if Campbell's dead Michael makes it to the end where he can either leave or join Jigsaw, DESPITE THE FACT, HE NEVER SHOWED ANY SIGNS OF WANTING TO JOIN HIM, and they treat it like a big choice the story can't reveal, that shows how they didn't write their characters well. Collectables involve Tapes, Jigsaw pieces and Billy the puppets too, they are nice collectables, but they are not great either. The Music is mostly the same quality as the last game, except this one has the Saw theme at the beginning and the ending, that's nice. This is the worst story in the Saw universe I've ever seen, and I'm glad they never made a third one.

A bland sequel to the equally bland first game, but still perhaps not as bland as some of the movies. Bland bland bland.
