Classic after classic.
A very nice collection to own!

This would be 5 stars if it wasn't for Majora's Mask being really crap on here. Still, an amazing value

I played Ocarina of Time AAAAND Majora's Mask on this. Sooo fucking good. I love these games to death. Ocarina of Time is the most impressive "Dang this game is good for it's time!" type game ever and Majora's Mask is the sickest asset reusing sequel ever. However this collection feels kinda empty without A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening, would give this five stars if they were included but this is still super good value. I mean I guess it's because they were already playable on GameCube via GameBoy player but like 3 people bought that so why not add them?

I have thought about selling this, but I cannot bring myself to do it. Just so much good in this collection.

The only thing holding this back is how abysmal the emulation for Majora's Mask is. Prone to crashing and losing all your progress. By far the worst official way to play Majora's Mask. The other games on it are great though.

The perfect way to get into the zelda series

i found this inside a gamecube at a goodwill and bought the whole console just to get this

I wanted this collection so bad when I was a young kid and I was absolutely over the moon when I finally got a copy. This was the collection that introduced me to my favorite game ever for the first time. I watched the retrospective mini movie over and over and over again because I was so enthralled with the series. I have heard complaints of the N64 games translating poorly onto this collection but I've played the originals and even going back to these I never found an issue with glitches or crashing or anything like that and on top of that I think the GameCube controller greatly enhances the gameplay of Ocarina and Majora. It was magical to have this growing up and this continues to be one of my most prized video games in my collection, let alone on the GameCube. Though, if I must take off my rose-tinted glasses I do have to admit that the original NES games have their worst versions on this platform. I love the GameCube controller but it absolutely does not work with these two games. Still, quite a bang for your buck since all of these games are starting to get expensive individually and come on they slap no matter what! (yes, even Zelda II that game is great y'all stop being mean and jumping on the bandwagon)

It was released as an actual collectible you had to order on Nintendo's website using points. Four amazing Zelda games (the NES episodes + the N64 ones) on a single disc. A few emulation issues with the N64 games but nothing too horrible. A great value.

Great games, obviously. But this really isn't the best way to play any of them.

I really appreciated having a copy of OoT and MM that I could play on the Gamecube, those two games are very good to great. However, they were a bit rough technically speaking, and also the other two games in the collection honestly didn't do much for me, bounced off both of them pretty quick like. Overall, you'd be better off just playing the 3D games elsewhere.

a great collection of games, but counting this one you can say the best zelda games are the ones on the gamecube :)

I played this collection of zelda games so damn much as a kid.

The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition is a nostalgic blast from the past, offering a convenient way to experience some of the series' most iconic adventures. It includes faithful ports of the original Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. However, it's important to note that the emulation isn't perfect – particularly for Majora's Mask, which can suffer from glitches and slowdown. While a fantastic bundle with historical value, more modern rereleases of these titles might be ideal if you're looking for the most refined way to play.

They're all great games! Odds are you'll mostly play Zelda 1 and Ocarina, though. Zelda 2 is hit or miss for a lot of people (although i'm a huge fan lol) and Majora's Mask port is held together with scotch tape and a prayer. A few crashes here and there can be okay, but because of how Majora's saving system works, the game suffers a lot.

It’s a cool collection and a good way to play all these games on GameCube. But the majoras mask port isn’t very good.

This is how I got into the Zelda series. It came with my GameCube and I found out how terrifying beamos were and how difficult it was to play the original Legend of Zelda as a kid. I really had a great time with it and it's a big reason for liking the kind of games I do.

The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition is a unique collection of Zelda games that was packaged with the GameCube. It contains ports of The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask, a demo of Wind Waker which is specifically a few minutes to work through Dragonroost Temple, and a short video that serves as a retrospective for the series up to that point. It's nice to be able to play these on a GameCube, but the Ocarina of Time port is fully censored (I will explain) and the Majora's Mask port is rubbish. Majora's Mask has an ungodly horrible framerate which is how I imagine the game runs on an N64 if you don't have the memory expansion installed in it. Ocarina of Time has had several versions throughout the course of its existence, each making slight changes. The second version of Ocarina of Time removed the Islamic chant from the Fire Temple's music and a third version made Ganondorf's blood green. The Collector's Edition version has those same changes, the redesigned Gerudo emblem, and removed the blood that was seen on the floor in different places under the well and in the Shadow Temple. I'm lucky enough in that my copy of Ocarina of Time is the first version, Islamic chant and all.
Anyway, it's good and is a great means to play these Zelda games if you're unfazed by the censorship of Ocarina of Time. You are better off playing Majora's Mask elsewhere, however.

Good collection, Majora crashes too often though. Adds an extra layer of stress cause the game could crash at any moment deleting your progress on that cycle.

It's funky playing zelda 1 with a joystick too

Extremely solid collection for the time. The interface is sleek and Gamecube marketing-esque, with a nice remix of the series theme and artwork and a blurb to describe each game included. Emulation is good but not great, but N64 on Gamecube so shortly after those games were new is a sight to behold. Though it feels very strange to jump from Zelda II straight to Ocarina, as a kid I only later heard about aLttP (and I guess I didn't watch the series history video included on the disc)

All the cool kids with platinum DOL-001s grew up with this and spent an absurd amount of time in the Wind Waker timed demo. Shoutout to those who loaded the dungeon save and walked backwards to get 20 minutes of the Dragon Roost Island theme.

Great way to play some classic Zelda games for the time, unfortunatley the ports could've used some more work to iron out the wrinkles.

A great collection all around, MM crashes a lot on here but still a great package all around.

MM, OoT and WW is good. The rest are meh.

Such nostalgia for this collection! Even the 20-minute Wind Waker demo and retrospective videos.

I spent my childhood wandering around Clock Town and Kokiri Forest not really knowing what to do. When I finally discovered how to leave Kokiri Forest, my mind was blown. This was my introduction to video games.

This was the greatest pre-order bonus nintendo has ever made.

Really great collection, but was missing ALttP. Emulation is pretty good on most games. MM has some small issues, but still playable. If you could get this on its own for the Game Cube, you had a solid collection of classic Zelda titles.
