Ultimate Band is one of the best rhythm games to ever come out and it's a shame not enough people recognize it for that
Great song selection, decent story mode, but the gameplay is exquisite
Oh Thrillville? Eh it's alright

Banditoooooooo (crashing and inexplicable whip-cracking sound effect) Chinchillaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (even more egregious and inexplicable whip-cracking sound effects, this time accompanied by yelling)

Played this game so much on the Wii back in the day

My first Wii game. Got it on launch with my dad. Loved it!

One of my favorite ever childhood games! I cannot play any modern theme park game that comes out because none of them can begin to compare to this, I am not even exaggerating when I say that this game was ahead of its time and an underrated gem. Not only is the coaster building awesome but it was so immersive as you got to play as a manager in first person, interact with the guests in many ways ride all the rides, play all the games, and you could even buy the food and gifts from the various shops you put up. This game has left me with an itch unsatisfied by any theme park game I've played since.

that one chiwawa beat em up game <3

Literally just the first one, but better. The park themes were a bit more lame this time around (the original cannot be beaten there), but man were the QOL improvements great.

I created a ride where a ball-cart moves 2 feet forward then explodes.

I went back recently to revisit this series from my childhood. And while I saw the age of the first Thrillville game, making me like it much less than I remembered, Thrillville: Off the Rails offers an amount of robust improvements for a sequel. It holds up well.

Of course though, it's not a perfect game, but Frontier Developments had some real good heart with this one. There's an actual overarching narrative this time, unlike the first game's premise of you simply running parks. The dialogue is also charming and hilarious at times, just like the original, and its soundtrack is much more notable this time around, with tracks from Miley Cyrus, The Veronicas, and even Yellowcard. Little improvements are here as well, such as unlocking new parks after every 2 levels (rather than just 1), as well as adjusted difficulty to certain missions. Some of the mini-games are still unbalanced however, in terms of their design.

Bigger and better than its predecessor, and one that's still fun to play today. And if you're running on Series X, the backwards compatibility additions add some gorgeous 4K HDR visuals.
You give me whiplash, baby!

What a fun ride - literally. Gem of a game. Would love a new entry to the series.

I played this game a lot as a kid, and had rather fond memories of it. Since it recently became free on Xbox, I wanted to revisit it to see if it was actually good or if it was just the nostalgia talking.

Thrillville: Off the Rails isn't quite sure what it is. It falls between being an amusement park management game and a collection of arcade games. Neither aspect of it being too impressive as a standalone game. The park management is fairly dumbed down, as the game is clearly geared toward younger players. Meanwhile, the arcade games aren't good enough to play on their own over an extended period of time.

Despite all this, the game is great for what it is. There are 50 arcade games total, with genres like racing, platforming, first-person shooters, and beat-em-ups all being covered. Some games are obviously better than others, but the sheer amount of variety and depth involved makes it impressive. The park management is decently fun in its own right, even if it's basically RollerCoaster Tycoon-lite. There is not one great individual feature of this game. but the whole is certainly greater than the sum of its parts.

having played rollercoaster tycoon i thought this game was pretty shitty but apparently a lot of people really liked this game when they were kids so what do i know

Creating a amuse park was fun. This game was really expansive with its minigames, and it's rides. This game really is an amazing amuse park simulator

I think I made one too many love interests in this game that I'm probably going to get my shit kicked in if any one of them found out. What's wrong with me?

Thrillville: Off the Rails is one of the most unique theme park tycoon game of the all time! I'm not exaggerating my first sentence because this is how I felt when I first played this game when I was a child and until now, I still think that this game is one or if not, the greatest tycoon game of all time.

The gameplay is the one that stands out the most, tycoon games has a record of being boring for some people with the top down gameplay but Thrillville is an innovator, not only you can build your own roller coasters, put theme park rides, manage the business stand point of the theme park but you can also RIDE and PLAY the rides and stalls! If that doesn't convince you to play the game, you can also play as a janitor and make cleaning the theme park into a fun game instead of it being a chore, everything in Off the Rails is playable from fixing electronic parts of stores to playing the actual mini games that you have put in your theme park. In addition, you can also talk to the people who are in your theme park, yes, you can talk to them and even set them up into a blind date, even great is that you can romance with people around your park. Off the Rails is really filled with content and gameplay-wise you wont' be bored of this game even after playing for a whole day. Thrillville: Off the Rails' gameplay is unique and I must say very fun even until now you won't notice a clunkyness into the gameplay.

Gameplay aside, the story is where Thrillville: Off the Rails fell short. Well, in fact the devs did try to make an actual plot to the game but it was an okay story for the lore of the game but after playing hours and hours you will actually forget about the story itself, well yeah there's pieces of the plot all over the theme park itself but that's only about it.

Furthermore, the graphics is well... This game is from 2007 expect it to be not that great, BUT from its time it was actually okay and the cartoon-ish style of Thrillville is really perfect for the franchise. The wacky and crazy vibe of the game is just pure perfection! Let's not forget about THE SOUNDTRACK, the songs for Thrillville that you will hear all over the park are crazy good! This is one of the games that has really good music selections! Like, most of the songs that I heard in Thrillville is still stuck in my head until now, from Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield to East Northumberland High by Miley Cyrus all of the iconic pop songs are here and it perfectly fit the whole vibe of the game!

In conclusion, Thrillville: Off the Rails is a GREAT GAME! I enjoyed every second of it and loved every moment. PS the Cheerleader minigame is PEAK rhythm game, crazy how a mini game has a great rhythm game system than most rhythm games out there. Thrillville: Off the Rails, a great game.

This was my first amusement park sandbox tycoon game growing up. It's definitely more of a kids oriented game but it was still a fun nostalgic time playing through it again.

Despite the legendary Bandido Chinchilla, unfinished coasters that people parachute into lakes off of, and literal emotionless robots strolling through your park, this lacks the heart of the original and doesn't go nearly as hard.

I played this a long time ago on the wii, never finished it, but I still really like this game, even though I didn't finish it again.

I played it when it was little

THEY FINALLY ADDED IT TO XBOX ONE. so that's cool and now i have it. it was fun

Loaded with nostalgia for myself, who played the demo for this on the Xbox 360 a plethora of times.
I don't think it particularly holds up, especially the repetitive and kinda cheese-able minigames, but the ride designs are cool, some of the coasters can be fun, it's just kind of a nice lil chill game to fuck around with. makes me want to play rollercoaster tycoon though lmao

Dad threw it away because I got a girlfriend in the game :(
Awakened an obsession with dating sims :(

Fun park sim as a kid and cool music. Can play arcade games with friends.

A short but fun little nostalgia trip back to a game I played a TON of as a kid - and when I say short, I mean SHORT. I managed to blitz the story in one 6-hour sitting but of course, the story isn't really the main focus of this game. From the genuinely surprising variance of minigames (there's even a Doom-style FPS!), coaster & race builders and park management aspects, there's a ton of replayability here. The soundtrack is pure mid-2000s nostalgia, ESPECIALLY if you were a Disney Channel kid, with tracks from the likes of Blur, Lily Allen, Miley Cyrus and The Veronicas.

Don't go in expecting a game as in-depth or robust as the rest of Frontier's back catalogue, but it's definitely a fun little trip down memory lane for a day or two.

Greatest game of all time you know in your heart that I'm right

My cousin got me this for my birthday one year, and I wasn't expecting to like it all that much. How wrong I was. SO many hours spent building coasters and playing the various minigames that were more fun than they had any right to be. No idea if it's aged well, so I'm just gonna keep it tucked away under rose-tinted memory.

Being able to 'build' a theme park as a kid was the greatest thing ever. No limits in this video game world! Fantastic game

sparkle quest is the greatest game of all time unironically
