Tom Clancy's The Division has a really cool premise – a devastated New York City turned lawless after a pandemic, with you as an agent trying to restore order. The gunplay is super satisfying, and the loot grind kept me hooked for a while. However, it gets incredibly repetitive, with the world feeling lifeless and the story falling flat. If you're into looter shooters with buddies, this might scratch the itch for a while, but overall, it's a bit of a letdown.

Uma boa ideia que infelizmente caiu nas mãos da Ubisoft

I spent years being excited for this game and when I finally got to playing it, it sucked.

Man, this game is really something

TBH, I like ubisoft game. They are incredibly immersive for me. And the division is no exception.
I think the strongest Ubisoft trait is the world building. And damn, they hit the mark here. The lore of what happened is quite amazing and unique, and the snowy NY is stunning. So many details and so much environment storytelling, cheesus.

And not only the world building, but also the coherence of the game. From the ui, skills, echoes, everything just makes the world and setting whole.

And the gameplay is pretty fun as well. You just go from mission to mission, shoot bad guys and that's about it. You get new loot, upgrades and upgrade your base(which I love in videogames)

The story is okay, even though, I didn't finish it, so I can't say anything about the ending. The missions are fun, especially if you have a podcast or something in the background.

All the missions are more or less the same, but that's okay. That was actually the first game in years where I was clearing the map like crazy. I dunno, just mindless shooting works perfectly with this game.

However, game can be kinda challenging due to numbers. If you have lower gear, you will suffer in some of the missions(at least playing solo)

So, why am i abandoning this game? I think it just kinda started to feel boring for me(especially when I started to need to grind for the newer loot and craft new shit). The game is still amazing IMO, and I can see why a lot of people liked it a lot. Definitely doesn't deserve the hate that it's getting.

I'm gonna be honest I've played this game for 13.2 hours now and I thought I would never be the one to say this but I struggle finding any motivation to keep going. I love this game for the atmosphere and the environment but the gameplay starts getting old. It feels like I'm running 200 meters, encounter 3 enemies, continue cycle until arriving to my destination. Not the mention I start getting annoyed from hearing the same "entering safezone" "warning hostile nearby" operator voicelines. I also find myself not being able to do much in the game beside from free roaming and I just wish there were more missions in the game with a meaningful objective since I'm running out of them. It also doesn't make it better that I'm basically feeling like I'm wasting my time since all of this progress that I'm doing sooner or later will be erased since this is a live service game.

Mind-numbing looter shooter that was good fun to play over quarantine with a friend.

Once had an innovative pvp mode similar to Kayne & Lynch's "Fragile Alliance" mode. Tenuous alliances and standoffs at the extraction points in the Dark Zone were some of my most tense moments in gaming, but the whole DZ system has been reworked and the playerbase is dead.

An enjoyable looter shooter within a surprisingly immersive and detailed post-breakdown NYC. The writing and story are painfully cliche with your stereotypical gruff police captain and autistic hates the outside world tech guy. The enemies are somewhat intelligent, but most combat encounters come down to wearing down bullet sponges. The Division really shows its strength when playing with a group that moment when everything clicks with your team and you working like an actual elite response unit is a very gratifying experience. Overall, it's a solid game that I enjoyed quite a bit back in 2016-2018.

I hate bullet sponge games, not for me.
Nice concept, that trailer with door of the car closing won me but Ubisoft proved to be better marketing specialist than video game developers

Boring gunplay mixed with boring story that was only fun if you played with friends and didn't do the missions.

Cheio de expectativas tivemos uma nova IP com potencial, a maior parte do jogo é super interessante.

There is Smth so nice about this game but also so many issues,I love what this game does with its loot system to its environment and the atmosphere it portrays. I came from division 2 to play this game so I wasn't missing out on anything and I can say that I deeply love division 2 more than this game the reason for this being this game is so frustratingly unfair it puts you up against bullet sponge enemies while you get killed in half a second and the progression is very slow and 90 percent of this game is peeking doing some damage then going back behind cover after 37 enemies beam the life out of you what makes this game so good though is the story, lore, environment and the feel of the gameplay i love the atmosphere that is portrayed whiled walking around this games new york it really makes it feel how it's intended too and in comparison to its sequel i feel its the only thing it does better.
If your a fan of looter shooters, open world games and want Smth different out of Ubisoft then give this game a go or just play the much superior sequel I do recommend this game though.

THE VIBES WERE IMMACULATE IS ALL I'M SAYING.

jogo meio abandonado pela ubisoft

this really is the most game to be ever made

it's got a super detailed and gorgeous world, the music is pretty good, the ui design, visuals, etc are all well made and it's technically pretty sound so it's super confusing as to why everything about the game itself is just bad

the "loop" and grind is all horribly designed and borderline nonsensical, the gunplay is awful because all the bad guys have a billion health and the loot and the systems around it suck

ubisoft moment

Fue mi introducción al género y la verdad se me hizo disfrutable. Algunas decisiones de gameplay/progreso/crafteo vistas con retrospectiva se ve que no son de lo mejor, pero han sido arregladas en el nuevo juego.

Another spin on Tom Clancy's world and this time its The Division. To be honest, this one is quite surprising, I never knew a Tom Clancy game can be a looter shooter and yet it worked.

The Division's gameplay is your average looter shooter genre and the way they handle it, is really great! The gun-play feels good but not as good as Ghost Recon's gun-play. Enemies might be bullet sponges but that's just your normal enemy AI's health in any looter shooter game, Division handles it quite nicely, once you reach the endgame, enemies doesn't feel like bullet sponges anymore. The gear system and the looting system is great. The Dark Zone PVPVE is really a great concept and you just need to watch out for hackers but if your server doesn't have them, then you will have fun playing the Dark Zone.

The story is really great, It lacks in execution but the lore and the premise of the story is really fucking great, Tom Clancy may not have written it but they did capture Tom Clancy's writing with the way they build the world of the game itself. Clearly, the world building is fucking beautifully crafted and the overall story for the game is quite nice. They did try to write compelling characters but they kinda missed with that one, most of the characters are not really that memorable once you finish the game.

The graphics IS FUCKING AMAZING. It may be an 8 years old game but the graphics and the whole vibe of the game including the map is just fucking great. The snowy post-apocalyptic New York is such aesthetically pleasing! The whole aesthetic of the game itself is so cool and so beautiful.

Overall, I enjoyed and had fun while playing the Division. I got invested in the whole world building and the lore. I spent like hundreds of hours by just playing the game casually and I enjoyed every seconds of it. The Division is a good game!

I enjoyed it but more was promised than delivered

No, I didn't finish it or anything, not sure if there really is an ending. Played it until my mates quit out. Only thing worthwhile was the gun feel, everything else is mosaic in my memory.

A pretty good looter shooter jammed into one of the most detailed and beautiful games worlds I have ever seen, before or since. The amount of care that has gone into snow-ridden mid-pandemic New York is downright unbelievable. Abandoned Christmas lights reflect off the body bags of a mass grave, the jam-packed entranced to an underground tunnels tells the story of a failed evacuation without saying a word, and the CDC markings on the doors of a deserted apartment building communicates this site as a pandemic hotspot.

Environment isn't where this depth ends, hundreds of collectibles showing little mini-stories about New York slowly falling into pandemonium are an absolute thrill to collect. From teenagers gossiping over the phone while their parents audibly discuss the emerging disasters in the background, to sit-down debriefs with soldiers present within the Quarantine. Other collectibles such as ECHOs and missing agent profiles makes Green Flu New York an environment one easily loses themselves in.

Also the gameplay's pretty good ig

Same with Division 2 solid game and till this day people still play it

Killing all criminals in a state of emergency is a thing the American governemnt would probably do
