A decent, if generic, brawler.

I love the Master System but, whoo boy, is this one a turd!

Imagine Kung Fu on the NES except it's way more sluggish and your moves have absolutely no range whatsoever. You also have to push I and II together to jump for some strange reason. The hit detection is also super off- I punched straight through enemies and bosses with no feedback whatsoever on multiple occasions.

I will give it some credit it though- it's a great looking game for an early-ish title. The music for the last stage also reminds me a lot of Kung Fu, which is actually a great (if also painfully simple) belt scroller that you should probably play instead. It's also mercifully short and took under an hour to finish my first time through. (Fuck 1CCing it though...it's too repetitive and annoying to bother)

Vigilante is pretty terrible. It's kind of in the same vein as Splatterhouse and Altered Beast, early 2D beatemup, bland, irritating, but this one doesn't really have anything to make it stand out like those two do. It's also much cheaper and looks like piss and shit. Agony video game, don't bother.

Few games on the TurboGrafx are genuinely awful. Vigilante is, easily, one of those games. It is a repetitive game that relies on the worst tricks in beat-em-ups, even to beat the first level, only to face several other bosses that can ignore your attacks (and, as an extra F U, regenerate health).

There is nothing redeeming about a game like this, with bland visuals and undercooked gameplay. Vigilante is a perfect example of a game designed to bleed you dry in the arcade, with little effort added to make it a viable home port.

I hate everything about this game, with every fiber of my being.

Aşırı ucuz bir oyun. Oyunun son bossuna minicik bir pikselden vurabiliyorsunuz hatta çoğu zaman vuramıyorsunuz.

This game is the pits; it does the thing that all badly designed brawlers do: just wave after wave of relentless, one-note enemies and not giving you enough options to deal with them... just a joyless grind.
