"A Weak Driving Simulator For Newcomers"
I'll go ahead and say this was my first driving simulator game. I had never been interested in the genre before, but happened to have this game as a leftover from a bundle a while back so I figured I would give it a shot. It has a a plethora of features and seems very deep in terms of customization and "realism" when it comes to delivering cargo, but at the end of the day, it didn't sway me into liking the genre. This isn't to say the game is inherently bad, as many fans of the genre have pointed out that it is actually very fun and relaxing. This review serves more as a statement from a non-simulator game fan to other people who are unfamiliar with the genre.
I ran into some issues with AI drivers that would block my way from a route, and was unable to get out of the situation without restarting the drive itself. This was pretty frustrating for me as I was starting to get a bit immersed into the experience despite not really understanding the full mechanics, but after that scenario I was put off.
Try this game out if you think you will be into the type of game it is, but don't expect it to be anything other than the title suggests! I personally would Not Recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about trying out driving simulator games, as it feels like a genre you either know you like or know you dislike off the bat. For a starting player, this was a pretty bad experience overall, and I don't think I will want to continue with this one.
Final Verdict: 2/10 (Bad)

Great simulator, same as ETS2. Has a still growing selection of trucks, new state additions coming out that are very detailed, and new modifications for trucks that make the simulator exciting and just all-around fun to play.

I didn't get too much out of this playing on keyboard. I switched the steering controls to the mouse and it still wasn't all that immersive or fun. But I saw an old stream of @sexualjumanji playing with the external pedal & steering wheel. And after that it looked like the only way to play. Maybe one day I'll get that setup, but until then I'll shelve this one.
once you get over the fact that this is clear DLC bait, and that you spend half your life savings on getting all those damn map DLCs, it's just about one of the best games I've ever played. drive through the day and through the night, from Cali to Texas and beyond, deliver eggs or other semi-trucks, roll your windows up and down, see the sequoias, the mountains and the deserts. go 90MPH on country roads carrying tens of thousands of dollars worth of explosive chemicals, or respect traffic laws perfectly. you're free. you're the king. the American dream.
