This was fine? All of it looks very gorgeous and typically fun to roam around and play while the new Isu enemies were a good challenge (the kolossi especially.) I just didn't care about the story whatsoever and the wrap-up at the end confirmed for me that I shouldn't care. Was nice to see some returning faces from the main game though.

I liked getting to spend more time with Kassandra (Layla I'm... less sure on) and the size of each expansion - from the new additions to combat to the actual new worlds - was impressive.

However I found myself really trudging through a lot of this. The new enemies/powers start to really stretch the combat to its breaking point, the storylines are 'important' to the meta-story but ultimately kinda pointless at a character level, and I found that, after 150 hours, I'd had enough of the gameplay.

What a great character Kassandra is though, shout out to her voice actor.

Episode 1 - Boring setting and story with annoying enemies and environmental mechanics. A chore to get through. 2/5

Episode 2 - The highlight of the DLC. The setting is intriguing and the side content is fantastic. All the Hades stuff is ham-fisted but interesting if nothing else. 4.5/5

Episode 3 - Middle of the road in terms of story and setting, somewhat forgettable but nothing inherently wrong with it. 3/5

It's pretty incredible to see "realistic" interpretations of Mythological locations.

Episodes 1-3 completed, each with 100% of trophies earned. Overall, a superb send-off for one of 2018's best games, I enjoyed this second expansion package more so than the earlier Legacy of the First Blade, which was already good. The Fate of Atlantis sees Kassandra (or Alexios, I suppose) travelling to three mythological locations - Elysium, Hades and finally Atlantis itself, each populated with very interesting characters and with an engrossing storyline. As new areas independent of the base game, each of these three locations is smaller in scope, but still sizeable at that - an impressive accomplishment for a DLC pack. I'm just sorry now to see my time with the game coming to an end!

Not the best Dlc but a nice play. The only thing that I hated about this Dlc is how much exploration i had to do to be able to progress in the story which is literally worthless for the endgame which made be bored at a certain point. And the plot was kind of a bummer ngl the build up was for nothing idk why isn't anyone talking about it

Much better than the main game.

Each episode of this DLC was better than the last, and I almost cheered when the second episode actively restrains your progression slightly so you just don't do everything. The most basic gameplay functions are actually present here! Unfortunately, most of the quests are little more than fetch quests and as Kassandra/Alexios quotes so well in episode 3: "Go do this, Go fetch this, Go kill him." Just because you say this joke doesn't mean you're funny ubisoft!

I really liked the stories as the episodes went on, however:
- Episode 1 dragged heavily with really bad voice acting and a bit too tedious of tasks imo, but the brief mission with Leonidas was very nice, but I wish it was longer.
- Episode 2 was much better, the repetive gameplay was still here definitely but the story revolved mostly about Kassandra/Alexios helping those from their past and not just helping them move on, but saying goodbye in a way that matters to the player. Was very good stuff! The Phoibe quest especially was awesome. Again, wish it was longer in those regards!
- Episode 3 had probably the coolest buildup, in which you're making a lot of choices and having to do things to be the judge of Atlantis. A great premise that is utterly RUINED by the end because it does the whole ME3 thing, in that the choices you make don't matter.

Speaking of those choices, that's what annoyed me the most of this DLC. Finally, it felt like Ubisoft was fully understanding what choice-based story could be! Choices would be made that directly influenced what would happen in these realms you travel to, because these are your trials, these are tests! But by the end, we lose any sort of possibility that something could change, that you could fail or anything because things have to go a certain way. In Kassandra's case, I can forgive that since you're playing through Layla in the Animus (Once again, it was a bad choice for Ubisoft to input choices in their gameplay of reliving memories! what the fuck that doesn't make any sense!), but even in Layla's eventual choices, nothing changes. Because the story has to go a certain way. It was annoying! Why have choices if you're just going to write an extremely linear story?

I will give the gameplay and art direction massive points though, because the art direction and designs were very fresh and cool (except for the Isu, they felt very uninspired) but each location was so cool and neat to explore, especially Atlantis!
The gameplay and combat also got new things to mess around with, namely a whole new enemy type that you have to strategize with better, and to think about and change up your styles for. It was cool! Felt new, fresh, and most importantly more difficult as the enemies got more powerful!

That's all I have to say though. This game was mid, the DLC was mid, and I cannot fucking believe this took up more than 300 hours of my life.

melhor q a outra mas nnum curti muito nao

Missed having the 3 separate episodes on the site, I finished only the 1 and 2, but I end up being forced to add the compilador.

Very conflicted on whether this is worse or equal to the first blade DLC, I'm gonna say worse because I liked Darius in the first blade.

This DLC feels extremely drawn out, and is ultimately disappointing. You get to delve into the mythological side of ancient Greece, but in the AC universe the Greek gods are actually just powerful Isu, which is an interesting idea, but is never really talked about.

Anyways, unlike the first blade DLC using parts of the base game map, this DLC gives us three new smaller scale maps. This would be a welcome idea, but the maps flat out suck. All three of these maps are lifeless, reuse base game assets and new DLC assets egregiously, and most of these maps are extremely vertical to a point where it becomes a major pain to just traverse them. They add these teleportation points meant to ease this pain but it is not enough. A majority of my playtime on this DLC was climbing mountains.

The rest of my time in this DLC was spent doing fetch quests! in all 3 chapters you're just doing fetch quests to fulfill some requirements that allow you to go to the next zone or in Atlantis's case, end the game. It is really quite dull and idk if this is just from fatigue with odyssey in general or if it's the DLC, but I was just trying to get this done. It felt like a chore.

The modern story is somewhat interesting but we get barely any insight on any of it. Like, we just know it's the assassins vs the templars for the staff, which has ultimate power I guess? It never goes any further than that, as the ending feels very anti-climatic and abrupt, but hey I guess it'll continue in AC Valhalla.

Elysium was genuinely one of the most obnoxious open worlds I've ever traveled, the underworld is barren and empty, void of anything interesting, and Atlantis is quite disappointing and generic feeling, should've had more water.

All of the Greek gods had very lame character designs and just boring personalities, I really think more effort should have been put into the gods, they feel so lackluster.

This has just been a bit of a rant and I apologize for not having anything better to say, but yeah, this DLC is lame and disappointing. You're better off just watching a Youtube summary on the story.

If you wanna see my rankings as I go through the series, click here.

I always enjoy it when Assassin's Creed leans into the sci-fantasy weirdness of its entire ancient aliens schtick, and Fate of Atlantis is a brilliant example of this as our protagonist explores datascape recreations of the parts of precursor society that inspired the myths of ancient Greece. The fields of Elysium, the blasted hellscape of Hades, and finally the shining city of Atlantis are the settings for each of the episodes; the gameplay loop in each one is more of the regular Odyssey gameplay, but the change in setting is enough to keep it fresh and engaging all the way through.

It's a little bit of a silly concept, but I had fun nonetheless

so the last episode came out this week, which meant that I finally got to start this story. Lets go through each episode.

Fields of Elysium: traversing this world sucked. Why are people that arent dead hopping around heaven. didnt like any of this

Torment of Hades: People hanging about in hell added up. Was better than Elysium plus you got to kill the devil so that was good. As was fighting Cerebus.

Judgement of Atlantis: NONE OF THIS MADE SENSE AND IT WAS PRETTY GOOD.

Overall each episode like halfassedly threw in an element from the main game into it to make it more complex than the first DLC story but it was dumb each time. It was like soap opera level storytelling and even towards the end Kassandra (who, god bless her voice actor, made this game so much better than it otherwise wouldve been) straight up says shes tired of all this dumb bullshit. Kassandra was good as hell once again.

Oh also Juno showed up which I found amusing because had I not played the other games recently I wouldnt have reacted to that at all, like most people playing these games probably.

So finally I got to uninstall this game. I’ll miss Kassandra though, seriously some top tier voice acting. If this game wasnt such a shitshow I might go through and play this again only making her a real piece of shit.

Es mucho mejor que el juego original

a very chunky expansion (i.e. lots of content) to a chunky video game. i think most of it is pretty interesting, and it provides some interesting history on the Isu and moves the present-day plot forward a little bit - although whether it moves in a good direction or not is arguable. at least it wasn't the embarrassment that the first DLC was story-wise! the new locations in this game are pretty visually striking and you meet some pretty cool characters. the gameplay is of course more of the same as the base game.

I've finally finished the 2nd major expansion for Odyssey but I feel that I've just completed the 3rd title of a pretty hefty trilogy. Because this DLC content is fucking VAST - it could easily have been a stand alone release as I've probably put a good 12-15 hours into this expansion alone, trying to mop up all the achievements. I think there's an argument here to suggest that this is the benchmark for what top quality DLC should be like.

Ubisoft have done a good job expanding Kassandra's story. Using mythology and the many deities from the Greek world was a pretty obvious direction to go in, and they could have really messed it up. But the stories told here are more than decent, characters are excellent and there are a few surprises if you managed to get through the full AC Odyssey campaign originally.

I think I bought the whole of the DLC packs for around £15 and this is such ridiculous value for how much there is to do. I've already played Legend of the First Blade and gave my thoughts on it last year, but Atlantis is definitely the better of the 2. I went into it completely blind - and I'm pleased I did because the 'Atlantis' in the title makes up just 1 of THREE completely separate areas. Each of these will take a good while to explore and unlock all the synchronisation points, there are plenty of varied areas in all 3 of these new maps with a pretty cool interlinking story weaving between all 3. Hint: it's neat if you've also played a lot of Hades as you'll encounter plenty of familiar faces here.

With this new content comes new abilities, costumes, weapons and enemies who are at times a lot tougher than those in the main game. Whereas the core gameplay is essentially the same, I maintain that this isn't a bad thing if you like the overall gameplay and feel of the game. Which thankfully, I do.

With the 3 very distinctive new areas, recurring and new characters, familiar looking and sounding locations and engaging storyline, it's actually difficult to think of how they could possibly have improved the extra content to Odyssey - the plot takes you at a decent, new direction whilst keeping the essence of what makes Odyssey such a brilliant game to play.

I've just got to mop up the last few achievements back in Greece and then I can finally uninstall Odyssey and move on to Valhalla - playing this game has been an absolute blast and I would be very surprised if Valhalla can top it. The geography, the landscapes, the lore, the myth, the characters and the tremendous lead character have made this one of my very favourite games of recent years and I've actually been pleased with how long it's kept me engaged. It'll feel good when that final achievement pops...

Made me uninstall the game. I've rarely played a DLC that's been so needlessly padded with tedium. I've yet to finish the other two zones as Elysium ended up bugging out.

I cleared every last enemy in the particular area of the map I was working on, but didn't weaken control enough - Fair enough, I guess I need to kill more dudes - only no dudes would spawn.

Overall incredibly uninspired even if it didn't bug out. I guess we'll see if I end up picking it back up to finish in a few years, but for now I'm done.

Got half way through the first episode and got bored real quickly.

liked the new world but this felt way to drawn out

These mythological segments in Assassin's Creed can be entertaining even if I'm never entirely sure what is actually happening in the story while we're seeing all this mythical stuff. Interacting with the Greek gods is fun and I particularly enjoyed Hades' performance. We get to dive into three realms: Elysium, a paradise filled with lush fields; Underworld, a dreary hellscape of death and brimstone; and Atlantis, a gorgeous high-tech city. I appreciate the variety they went for with the realms even if the Underworld was a bit overbearing. That is, of course, the point of that region but it did make it a bit dull to explore. The large urban environment of Atlantis was a large reminder that the current parkour system isn't really built for navigating a city despite it being the foundation that the series was built upon. My favourite part of Odyssey was making builds and this DLC gives us some progression in the form of enhancing abilities in the skill tree. I wasn't going to use all these unlocks for the build I was working on but it was fun to have new things to work towards. I really liked the ability that made a double of your character to do a quick assassination of an enemy you're aiming at from a distance. It reminded me of ordering your assassins in the Ezio days. Although I was starting to feel some fatigue after all the many hours of Odyssey I've played up to this point, I did enjoy the DLC and a good continuation of the main game.

Iagine trying to be a cool expansion, about a important piece of greece's history and culture, only to chop down all of the gods personality, making Persephone a sociopath, Hecat the goddess of Magic useless, and missing the entire point of the underworld of hades by making the place with no life, resistance or will, a realm of fire and fights, GUESS WHAT? FIRE IS LIFE IN THE GREEK MITHOLOGY, AND THE UNDERWORLD IS A PLACE WITH NOTHING BUT EMPTYNESS AND DESPAIR, but the worst part, is that you has to endure the ridiculous writing of all of the characters in this dlc, not one god is interesting or enjoyable, not one mythological figure you encounter is endearing and fun, nothing is fun, this sucks, just like the whole game

I didn't have the DLCs when I first bought the game but since I saw that prices are continues to increase I thought should get them while they're on discount. so here I am, finished all...
as a story goes it had dumb ideas usually. those portals that beam you up or down was so annoying to find, like you have to turn around to find them or you should climb those big mountains or buildings, exhausting!
as a view and atmosphere I liked the places, they're beautiful in itself...
but I really don't think I'll return Hades' underworld again.

"seems like riches is valued even in the underworld!" - Kassandra
this was so ridicules to me that you put the money to underworld, and even more than real world!!
the other one was the gods and goddesses are always giving the same answers to you no matter what you choose in the options; that means you who created this thinks that even they're more stupider than humans!!
another thing that was stupid is that in Hades' underworld there was water areas in the caves, like cleaner than real world; everywhere is burning, rotting but we should put clean waters to the caves!! there are people who still deals with the plague in underworld, why? suffer more because you were bad person?!
Isu gods are selfish and worst than humans and can't do anything right, not for humans, not for themselves but nope, humans are bad, vile, they're trying to kill them for nothing. they should die again...

Would probably rate it higher if the 3 new areas weren’t such a pain in the ass to traverse. I had fun regardless but it really tested my patience sometimes.
