I used to play Trunks and used all my Capsule Corp pills on his various transformations and wouldn't have enough points left to afford any ki blasts and would get my ass kicked by Yamcha.

Not much reason to go back to this one with much better DBZ fighting games released since. If you want to go PS2/GC era, play Budokai 3 instead.

fuck the raditz minigame bruh

For my 5th birthday I received a gamecube with The Legend of Zelda Collection, DBZ Budokai and a superman game. Later on that year I would venture into MK and thus a love of arcade style fighting games is born. Smash never did it for me, I have always loved the DBZ and MK games, Budokai will always be holding a special place because of being that first one I remember playing, and I still will boot up that gamecube to play this(as of March 2021). Combat was very fluid for it's time, I remember it looked very good despite the limitations and God those combos were badass and fun.

why there is no xbox 360 option

DatadÍSSIMO mas olha, na época era do caralho justamente pela narrativa dele simular bem as cenas do anime melhor até que os seus sucessores!

Um produto de sua época, mas ta pra sempre no meu coração

The story mode for this is great: it features high quality cutscenes and voice acting.

Huge nostalgia for this game and I even remembered the day I completed It as even when I was a child I was a huge dragon ball fans as It used to air on Cartoon network and a year or two after I played this It aired on nicktoons. This game is hella dated and all It has going for It is the cutscenes.

The first genuinley good DBZ game, and a great one at that. Gameplay is similar to Tekken, but is a bit more accessible with auto combos. Characters can also use special capsule abilities in verus matches & the world tourament mode so any character can be made useful. Story mode is still one of the best from any DBZ game, and The Legend of Hercule mode is still a lot of fun. (Only thing that sucks is getting Dragonballs for breakthrough skills)

Nossa a modelagem é horrorosa parece massinha real

De resto é só uma versão mais simples do budokai mesmo

This game's graphics have certainly performed the aging process

A very bare-bones DBZ game, but a necessary introductory step into 3D for the franchise. Only goes through the Cell Saga, so it feels incomplete even without getting into the features. Pick Budokai 3 over this, if not the newer games.

For some reason I was extremely excited to get this game. I guess the cutscenes just really impressed me at the time?

Hardest way to shoot a KameHameha in the franchise.

Fun fighting system and hilarious campy quotes. TIME TO DIIIEE. DO IT NOOOW. HERCULE STYLE.

Esse estilo de combate não me agrada, mas DBZ é DBZ né pai.

DOG ASS i beat it anyways lmao. its got cha la head cha la and a couple what if scenarios.

Don't know what's up with all of the shit talk on this game. This game is fun as fuck, was the first DBZ game to introduce actual combos and a layer of technicality with combo cancels.
The story mode faithfully followed the series, and was one of the main ways I digested the story of DBZ up to the cell games. 10/10 Fuck the haters

US version

this is a really good way to start off dragon ball Z on the ps2 the intro at the start of the game is pretty slapper but one problem i have with this game is that you need to technically go threw the story mode twice to fully complete it overall i give this game a 7/10

I was super hyped for this fighting game when it first released. I can still remember my cousins bringing it over day 1 to my grandmothers house and jerry rigging the PS2 to an old black and white TV just to play it.

DATED GOOD LORD, but this game is so fun, especially back in the day, always a fun time

bizarro a modelagem dos personagem

This is how I first learned the story of dbz lmao but actually dbz games peaked with this one

Not a bad start for the franchise at the time.
