probably the second-scariest atmosphere in the game. but the problem is that springrap has a horrible jumpscare, and none of the other animatronics can even kill you

Now this is peak FNaF. Great atmosphere, great mechanics, spectacular lore, scared as shit.

There are runs where people beat this game without using any of the mechanics.

I'm dead serious.

This is when the FNAF series started to lose its thunder. Easily the worst game in the series.

Why release a game a few months after the first two games? Ugh...anyways, the game is unique being only one animatronic, but the game is way too hard, especially on night 3.

This is the most "5/10" game in the series for me
Springtrap design is awesome, yet the phantoms feel like lazy recolors
The lore and storytelling is one of my favorites, yet it fails at having a good gameplay
Its great, yet its pretty bad.
If a game in the franchise needs a remake its this one.

I really enjoyed this game and Springtrap will always be one of my favorite animatronics of the franchise, next to Bonnie, of course.
And the way that this wraps up the story of the original five children is also really good, though I hate how much they botched the Good Ending music on PS4 when the PC's version was god tier.

Easily the worst fnaf game. As someone who at least has something of an appreciation for the first game and Pizzeria Simulator, this game basically embodies everything that lead to fnaf's self cannibalization: Shit gameplay, zero tension, dumbass obtuse puzzles, stupid lore.

Is is naive to blame fnaf for analog horror being such a big thing as it is nowadays? I know that it didn't invent the genre, but it becomes a thing right around the time this game comes out and they share a lot of similar ideas; The perversion of childhood imagery, the retrofetishism, the inanely deep lore for no real reason. The major difference is that fnaf as a series relies way too much on jumpscares over anything else as it goes on, whereas most analog horror prides itself on it's atmospheric slow burn A24 horror with zero jumpscares, but jesus fucking christ does every single analog horror series fall flat on its face on being scary. They're basically 90% buildup, and the payoff more often than not is a creepy face less scary than the majority of shitty old creepypastas or some kind of abstraction that leaves it up to the viewer to imagine a scary thing themselves. More often than not it just ends up kind of funny.

To quote the top comment of soon to be horror classic DELTARUNE VHS | SNOWGRAVE: "I like that there are no cheap jumpscares, just unnerving imageries and sounds and that's what makes it look actually scary." Indeed.

I don't like this game. That's all I have to say

i think this is the most boring game i had the displeasure of playing in my entire life

Least scary game in the series. Okay mechanically, but nothing to write home about. Springtrap is really REALLY corny though, he wanna be FNaF 1 Freddy so bad dawg

Awful game, the worst of the saga.

I was never able to finish this but I'd say its fine. Still prefer FNAF 2 tho.
