Blister Party is the foundations of a good party game just slowed down by a few errors like single player minigames, only a few good maps, limited board interaction, and blisters.
Many friends and alliances were broken with this game even still to this day.

Okay considering its the first in the series, but you'd be better off playing pretty much any other Mario party game

Still my favorite Mario Party. The best controller-breaker, hand-sander, friendship-ender, and rage-inducing game on the N64. And I love it, although, the AI on hard is unplayable.
Me acuerdo de esas tardes de verano (bueno, época seca en Venezuela) después del plan vacacional, a solo llegar y jugar unas partidas o a la isla de minijuegos para pasar el rato. O el como cuando jugaba con mi hermano se ponía a llorar porque le ganaba.... Que tiempos, aún así, bueno, la saga fue muy sobreexplotada, solo diría que jugarán los 4 primeros, aparte de que ya en la actualidad con el tema de que no hay mucho contacto con estos juegos entre varios jugadores y jugaras solo, pues bueno.

This game plays like a bunch of people who don't know exactly how to play Mario Party so they make up the rules as they go along.
Half the minigames are pure shit. Why are there team based 4 player games? Why are there 1v3 games where the 3 literally can't do anything, like the pipe choosing one?
Mario Party did not start out with its formula properly refined.

A lot of fun, even now. The coin economy in this game is a disaster.
Real talk: Has ANYONE ever won the Tug O War minigame against the computer? I have NEVER been able to.

I can absolutely fucking demolish the palm of my hand. I can beat the other minigames just fine. I'm convinced Tug O War is literally impossible.

While this first entry gets a lot right, there's also a lot of bad ideas in here as well. For instance, control stick rotating minigames. Those will fuck up your hand! The game also lacks the depth of gameplay later entries would get from items, more types of minigame, and more sophisticated boards. This game is a good start, but it's not there yet.

This game is brutal. It will kick you when you're down. It will make you sure you feel the pain from losing and that recovering is very hard.
There is a lot of nostalgia value with this one. But honnestly, you're better off playing one of it's many sequels which will all feel less like bullshit.

One of the few games where I think that the legit game hates you. You lose coins from minigames, Chance Time is a thing, and who can forget rotating the joystick and getting splinters?
