The original is one of my favorite games ever, and this remaster is pretty much the same game. The new stuff can be boiled down to crossplay, the ability to pick any color to use on your car, a slightly enhanced lighting system, and all previous DLC being available from the get-go, old bugs like traffic cars randomly disappearing on multiplayer are still present. I was at least expecting to see a better quick play system, you can easily search for any kind of match and find a full lobby in seconds, but what if I want to play the Most Wanted and Arms Race modes? I can only search for a single mode if I select a car class, which makes finding other people in these modes a real pain in the butt as someone could be playing it in the Super class while I'm looking for a match for Hyper class cars. I would only recommend getting this if you don't own the original or if you really like the game and wishes to reignite the multiplayer player-base.

To put it positively, it made me realize how much I enjoy Burnout and how much I wish Burnout had been the racing series EA bet on instead of Need for Speed.

fun game, played the original ps3 version

Felt really old school. Kinda like the nostalgic feeling. But don't know if i am willing to be spend a lot of hours on this

Great game to play if you just want to mindlessly cruise around a scenic landscape, or like intense races.

Singleplayer is extremely fun but multiplayer is incredibly janky and unbalanced, don't go in expecting too much.

A good reboot to very old era nfs games

i love this game but i hate the bugatti veyron

unironically playing this rarely waiting for the upcoming nfs 2022 release lmao

Well made, but generic and formulaic. It's unfortunate that Criterion had to shift it's racing game development efforts away from the Burnout series to this.

Also, there is something really weird with the AI during the last mile of every race, where they seem to slow down. I guess maybe to create a false sense of a close finish, but I'm not sure. Weirdly, I only had trouble in the time trials.

ayo I'm playing this game right now, that's crazy

This game doesn't feel very special, interesting, or even have great control. It is decent enough, but in a world of Forza Horizon, Grid, NFS Heat, and even Burnout Paradise Remastered, there is no compelling reason to play this.

Me deu saudade de Forza Horizon.

played this back in the day on 360, and revisited it on gamepass. the driving really still feels great!

a good need for speed game necessarily includes badly acted live action cutscenes. this game does not, in spite of the live action trailer for the switch version. a disappointment

I've had more fun with this game than I've ever had with the entirety of Forza Horizon 4

Plusy i minusy:
+ świetny dobór samochodów, wszystkie ładne i z charakterem

The game does what it sets out do but quickly becomes repetitive in the process. The races are fun, but I didn't enjoy the playing as the police or the time trials nearly as much.

I also never quite clicked with the game engine or how to drift. There were times I felt I was doing it right only to be passed by cars behind me flying around the same turn. There are no tutorials to teach or explain it.

I may return to this game in the future to play a few races, but I'm still disappointed with the lack of car racers on the Switch.

NFS would be better off if they just focused all their efforts on remastering their old games at this point.

A very fun arcade racing game, it was visually stunning in 2010 and it still is, the graphics are good but what really shines is how much emphasis there is in cars and their beauty, those supersport cars in police vinyls are something I enjoy just sitting and watching, really beautiful models and extremely solid camerawork and presentation on the few cutscenes there are.

It looked this good in 2010 however, the remastering work here is pretty eh of even downright bad considering the 8th gen versions and even the series S version are 30 fps. A vinyl creator was added and the SLR cars were removed.

Something I find pretty amusing is how defensive EA seems to be of this specific game. Is remember the Xbox 360 version being one of the few games to implement AP2.5 to lock out pirates with flashed drives (The others being asscreed brotherhood, driver san francisco and then cod black ops iirc). This version includes denuvo anti-tampering for a remaster of a 12 year old game with so few changes, one might as well just pirate the original.

The game plays super well. I was surprised that the 'maximum' performance runs at 60fps when playing the PS4 version on PS5, so it looks good and feels good to play. The time trial missions as the cop are really annoying and the police versions of most the cars look kind of bad imo. I didn't get far in the cop missions, but the racer missions are still good!

A Need for Speed game that is more frustrating than fun. Handling is my biggest gripe with Hot Pursuit Remastered. Cars feel heavy and control like rocks. This comes off even more annoying considering it can be easy to crash into oncoming traffic. Cop time trials (referred to as Rapid Response) really don't work well with the under-steer handling physics. Hitting walls penalizes your time and adds 2-3 seconds, making earning a gold merit very challenging.

Gameplay is fine. Two parts exist. Cop Career and a Racer Career. The cop side has you participate in time trials and events centered around busting racers, while the Racer side has its own set of events like time trials and races (most of which throw cops at you mid-race and turn into a race-getaway pursuit to the finish). Winning events rewards bounty points, with more events and cars being unlocked at higher bounty point levels. Car customization is as basic as changing a car color and selecting from a few preset vinyls and wraps. A free roam mode also exists.

The Burnout comparisons are definitely true and present, seeing that this game was developed by Burnout team Criterion. Takedowns are a key gameplay aspect, working the same was as Burnout even down to the takedown camera that shows after one is successful. Essentially, this game can even be described as Burnout with cops, free roam and very heavy driving physics.

Another issue I have (which I am not sure is a Remastered issue, if it was present in the original, or because I was playing on the Switch version) is that after unpausing the game, the action resumes like normal, but there is a 2-3 second delay before control input registers again. This, of course, has caused me to crash into walls, traffic and lose speed in pursuits.

I can see why a lot of people like Hot Pursuit because it is a well made game. However, the handling and physics weren't enjoyable enough to draw me in.
