I still can't believe people actually want main series Pokemon to be like this. could modern Pokemon animations use a little more personality? sure, but part of my problem with Battle Revolution and prior Stadium-like games was how it felt like it took a good 45 seconds to watch a single animation of just your Pokemon being hurt and get to watch that over and over and over with some of the ugliest Pokemon models known to humanity
some of the battle styles were cool and the stages were pretty neat but this game was not worth $60 when it first came out and it's barely worth $20 if you don't have a copy of Diamond or Pearl. if you MUST play a Stadium-esque game just grab a copy of one of the Gamecube ones instead

Battle Revolution is fucking sick, and it is also the reason for my favoritism towards the gen 4 starters.
Great expansive battle-arenas with banger after banger. On top of that, Pokémon attacks are intuitive and has incredible looking special effects. How fucking sick isn't it to use 'bite' with Grotle to bite the opposing Pokémon in 1st person.

Very fun pokemon game which begged the question of "Why didn't you just make a full on pokemon game on the Wii GameFreak?"
While some will defend it and say "it was hard to work on a system like the Wii" I highly doubt they couldn't have made a bigger game than what this turned out to be. Not saying this game is bad, this is an amazing... Pokemon Battle Simulator for the Wii. But apart from that, there's little substance. Sure you can transfer your Pokemon to the game with a DS/Wii Link (of course now the game is useless cause you can't do that anymore.) but you're left with the vanilla Pokemon (which in no way are bad, just a bit disappointing that it makes the game useless).
The game is fun with battles, has cool customization, and online support was great... apart from that though, there isn't really any reason to play this game anymore.
