I had a pirated copy in which if anyone used stealth rock, the game would make a loud fart noise and crash.

I still can't believe people actually want main series Pokemon to be like this. could modern Pokemon animations use a little more personality? sure, but part of my problem with Battle Revolution and prior Stadium-like games was how it felt like it took a good 45 seconds to watch a single animation of just your Pokemon being hurt and get to watch that over and over and over with some of the ugliest Pokemon models known to humanity

some of the battle styles were cool and the stages were pretty neat but this game was not worth $60 when it first came out and it's barely worth $20 if you don't have a copy of Diamond or Pearl. if you MUST play a Stadium-esque game just grab a copy of one of the Gamecube ones instead

May not be much of a good game or have any substance but was my first introduction to the series so I have to give it some praise on that alone

also wtf the animations here are more detailed than sword and shield

This game was a joy to see and fool around with a little bit, but the gameplay wears so thin that it gets stale after 20 Minutes and then you'll never play it again.

DO YOU LIKE GEN 4 BATTLING?

Good, there's nothing else to do here.

Battle Revolution is fucking sick, and it is also the reason for my favoritism towards the gen 4 starters.

Great expansive battle-arenas with banger after banger. On top of that, Pokémon attacks are intuitive and has incredible looking special effects. How fucking sick isn't it to use 'bite' with Grotle to bite the opposing Pokémon in 1st person.

This game is actually so rad. Great music, probably the best 3D Pokemon aesthetically we've gotten (not that it's saying much) and it's just cool to have your Gen 4 Pokemon up on the Wii fighting.

See, why couldn't Game Freak just recycle the animations in this game for Pokemon Sword and Shield?

Lazy fucks.

Also the girl avatars were cute.

Lacking the option of having rental teams choosing any Pokémon you want like in Pokémon Stadium, without having to import your own Pokémon killed this game for me, I didn't own the mainline games at the time.

Kind of a downgrade compared to the Stadium games, but I have many fond memories of playing this game with friends after school using our teams from the DS games

cant rate it because i haven't played it in a million years but as a small boy this game was fricking epic sauce

I enjoyed this game a lot, it was like Stadium with more stuff other than minigames. I never finished it, but would like to some day

I still have my old save file from when I was a kid and cheatcoded random attack moves onto Pokemon so it's still fun going back to this, even if the game is pretty slow

I bought it during gen 4 hype, it's incredibly slow but I liked the animations.

El primer juego del que me arrepentí de comprarlo

not actually super good but i will always have fond memories of connecting my and my friend's DS so we could battle against eachother with our pokemon on my TV. Was cool then and is still cool now. As for the actual game though it's kinda meh

gameplay is unremarkable but the MUSIC
it's so fucking good dude

It is cool if you have enough Gen IV Pokemon in a box to battle friends with. Otherwise, the campaign is extremely bland in comparison to Genius Sonority's prior works.

I remember getting this game as a gift and playing a ton of it. I just don't remember much of the actual game. I did have a ton of fun and sunk a lot of hours into it. Pokemon was pretty much my entire childhood.

Picked this up after playing Platinum, ready for some 3D combats and found this... boring? It's cool to see, as the graphics and animations are quite impressive, but gameplay left a lot to be desired. It's either too easy or too hard, depending if you use your DS teams or not.

What a let down, I was expecting the third game in the coliseum and XD series, but no, we get a pointless battle simulator.

can I say this is my fav pokemon game without getting cancelled

Very fun pokemon game which begged the question of "Why didn't you just make a full on pokemon game on the Wii GameFreak?"

While some will defend it and say "it was hard to work on a system like the Wii" I highly doubt they couldn't have made a bigger game than what this turned out to be. Not saying this game is bad, this is an amazing... Pokemon Battle Simulator for the Wii. But apart from that, there's little substance. Sure you can transfer your Pokemon to the game with a DS/Wii Link (of course now the game is useless cause you can't do that anymore.) but you're left with the vanilla Pokemon (which in no way are bad, just a bit disappointing that it makes the game useless).

The game is fun with battles, has cool customization, and online support was great... apart from that though, there isn't really any reason to play this game anymore.
