A classic puzzle strategy game where a single piece can change the course the game. An example of a timeless classic that lives on to this day and long afterwards, Tetris will give players hours of puzzle solving to achieve the highest score on their game and how long they can last before the bricks pile to the top. If their fingers, wits, and mind are fast enough, they can achieve that high score and defeat anyone who challenges them.

Play tetris friends (its basically tetris online)

Nothing like sliding your 4-long into the pocket while listening to Tchaikovsky.

Great first entry to the series, but they really didn't hit their stride until the landmark title: "Faces.... Tris III".

RÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃÃH 👹👹👹👹👹I WILL KILL YOU 👺

A perfectly simple puzzle game for players at any level.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TETRIS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LETSS FUCKING GO

Apparantly Backloggd (or rather, IGDB) counts every different game released under the name "Tetris" as one game. That's... uhm... fucking wrong. Just to clarify this review is about NES Tetris:

NES Tetris is good.

Hmmmm químicos buenos...

It's fucking Tetris. It's an iconic masterpiece. Just give it a damn 5 star rating. Literally a perfect arcade/puzzle game and a timeless classic.

Veritable proof that being a "perfect" game is pretty meaningless.

secretly a way to convert kids to scientology

Isn’t there a Tetris movie in the works, when is that supposed to come out? I think it started as a story about Alexey Pajitnov, and slowly got Hollywood-ed into some sort of sci-fi movie. Sometimes it is better to stick to the basics, and that is where Tetris succeeds. A newcomer to Tetris will understand the game-play loop within 5 minutes of picking up a controller. Yet no two games are alike, the player is always learning, becoming more efficient, getting better at thinking more steps ahead. It is all of video games culminating into a core experience. Tetris Effect came out in 2018, doesn’t change the formula at all, and somehow still ended up in plenty of game of the year discussions. Basics.

Half way through the game a massive lore drop is dumped on the player out of nowhere that boged down the experience . Other than that I thought it was brave of them especially at the time to kill off L piece tho! Awesome game with deep and complex lore

"I love you more than Tetris" would be the perfect words in a wedding, because Tetris is perfect.

who the fuck doesnt love tetris

Probably the game I've played the most in terms of my general life since I had the original Game Boy copy at 7. The gameplay went through a few changes during the decades but it's the only game I have on my phone these days and I always have a good time playing it.

Me if the greatest games ever made. Check out some of the documentaries on how it left the Soviet Union.

may god rest your bastard soul

The platonic ideal of a puzzle game.

How am I supposed to review Tetris? Tetris is Tetris.
