It was really shoddy due to the DSi's camera not being very good, but that's what happens when your entire game hinges on a gimmick.

this is literally not a finished game holy shit

I don’t understand why everyone on here hates this so much. Like, it was a DSiware Launch title for 500 DSi shop points (aka, half the amount Nintendo gave everyone who bought a DSi system at launch). It was just a dumb little hour long novelty to entertain kids on the day they got there new system, and as a kid who bought a DSi on launch day, I was entertained by it. It probably wont keep anyone on it for more than an hour, but its cute for what it was and a product of its time. I replayed this twice, once on my Japanese DSi that had it installed and once on my American 3DS. The game for whatever reason, definitely works better on a DSi. Im not sure if its the camera, or the location of the camera, but on the 3DS, it always seems to cut off the top quarter of your body. The games also pretty janky, id say about 1 in 5 of the micro-games dont function properly, which can be frustrating. But all in all, its not an offensive game by any stretch of the imagination. It’s not a game I wish was never made. It’s just a funny thing Nintendo did with the DSi camera in 2008/2009 and I cant think of another DSi game that used the camera like this. It’s neat.

i had to put my socks on my hands for it to recognize both my face and my hands at the same time and then it was fun i gotta admit that it made me chuckle and the last stage asked me to bring a second person so i used my elbow to trick the game into thinking it was a second face and it worked except for the last minigame.
it made me feel like a loser 4/10 only because mona is in it mnade me feel less lonely

SNAP! That one's going in my cringe compilation.

this game plays like what mcdonalds sprite probably feels like if u pour it down your urethra

It's actually fun, but im giving it one star due to:
1. It being extremely short
2. It having issues working at all

Good idea, horrible execution.

This is a pretty interesting one for me because I think it's a really good demonstration of what exactly NOT to do when making games like this. I have been fascinated by just how fucking horrendous Snapped! is especially in comparison to other WarioWare titles. For context - I adore WarioWare. It's one of my favorite Nintendo franchises and I don't think I'd be able to live without it. Consistently entertaining and amusing, it's short, sweet fun that knows exactly what it wants to do and executes it almost perfectly. Later entries in the series post-Mega Microgame$ would become known for their unique use of the hardware's capabilities, such as Twisted! taking advantage of the GBA's gyro sensor and Touched! taking advantage of the DS' touchscreen. The list goes on, with it all coming full circle in Gold, with the game putting the 3DS' capabilities on display spectacularly, by demonstrating just how far Nintendo has come with their handheld consoles but also acting as a display of past minigames and unique features (touchscreen, gyroscope, etc), making it the "definitive" WarioWare experience.

So what exactly happened here?

Let me outline what exactly this game is first - WarioWare: Snapped!, also known as the next coming of the Antichrist, was released for the Nintendo DS way back in 2008 as Nintendo felt a revival of their franchise was imminent and 4 years after Touched! was released on the same system, hell broke loose. I'll keep it simple by saying that this is one of the most mechanically broken but also lifeless games I have ever played - which is the polar opposite of what WarioWare is known for, ironically. Antichrist that this game is, for it takes full (and by full I mean ENTIRE) use of the DS' camera. You may see the problem here already. The DS' camera is not good. It is not good at all. Desperate to find things to cling on to, Snapped! chose perhaps the worst avenue to take: using nothing BUT the DS' camera to execute the minigame tasks WarioWare is known for. This means that half of the time you will end up failing minigames because of the camera just refusing to work. Instead of scrapping this idea and going with something else (as they should have), they instead released it but lowered the stakes to where it makes Gold look like Furi. There are no stakes here and there is absolutely nothing preventing you from failing all the minigames and moving on to the next challenge. Oh yeah, remember when I said lifeless? The minigames lack any sort of charm at all, which is absolutely detrimental to the experience as it forgoes the teachings of WarioWare games past. This game is a stain on the legacy of WarioWare and I am very glad they learned from this mistake going forward.

If I didn't have such a miserable time I would give this a 2/10 because the recordings of your actions during the minigames are pretty funny sometimes

Audio visual diarrhea, so much of a barley functioning piece of shit that I question why I spent $5 on it, could have bought a burger with a soda on the side with that money,

Doesn’t even come close to feeling like a WarioWare title & it’s pathetically short.

This is a tech demo masquerading as a game. Theres barely any content here but for once that may be in the games benefit as if it was any longer, it would be the #1 leading cause for DSi's hitting a wall.

I was always worried that WarioWare would be a perfect video game series, releasing banger after banger, so I'm glad this one sucked ass. No one could handle such a thing as a perfect franchise.

I am the biggest WarioWare fan but this was a waste of money. With just 4 very tiny groups of microgames, and a very faulty camera recognition gimmick, this wasn't a good experience while it lasted.

Buen concepto, ojalá hubieran hecho un juego mas largo

This shit never works. But when it does it’s just ok.

9999 better ways to make up for stripping the compatibility of 1500 GBA games than to give me the ability to play WarioWare: Snapped! - coming soon to your local bookstores

i'm litteraly too white for this game

Play literally any warioware game instead this shit fucking sucks

neat concept, using the DSi camera as basically a mini PS2 eyetoy sort of thing. However, there's only like 10 total microgames and the thing barely works so it's not something I really played much of after seeing everything the first time. Also the pacing is absolutely borked since it always felt like I was spending more time setting up each microgame than actually playing them. It is a dumb game to show your friends though, but really you should be playing any other game on your DSi, warioware or otherwise.

it's an interesting idea but this is way too gimmicky for my liking. it wasn't good enough to be a paid game, but i'm not too concerned about that cuz i didnt even pay for it lmfaooo
