The Followup To a good thing is always hard. the follow up the the followup's Demo is also probabbly very hard to nail. and yet this manages it perfectly.

With even better music, improved characters,trashy nubert! and of course more excellent systems in play. I look ever forward to the day the full game is done.

A very fun second chapter. I thought cyberworld was cool and felt different from the first chapter with some unique ideas. Loving the story still and I'm interested to see how it continues after that ending because what. Also Susie staying over was so cute I really like her character growth so far. Berdly I am so sorry but girl you were annoying so many times throughout this chapter. I also didn't like how aspects of this chapter felt similar to the last like the final act being in the villain's mansion because we were captured and put in a cell for example and I hope that future chapters make that different so it isn't the same sort of structure everytime.
If it's already this peak, this game is going to be a serious contender for the greatest JRPG of all time when it's finished

Deltarun Chapter 1 was peak and Chapter 2 might just be even peaker.
Maybe losing in charm and emotional efficiency by feeling longer and more aimed at building stuff... but gaining intensity in places where Undertale still emits its distant radiance to me, mystery.
Felt less of a connection with an approach that feels less authentic, but really liking where this is going in terms of gameplay and narrative, and it still holds the previously hilarious stuff and cute characters.

I'm gonna count both chapters in my review.
As I said in my Undertale review I honestly think Deltarune is a much funner gaming experience, it doesn't "live up" to the absolute monolith that is Undertale but to me it's better on everypoint, character writing, gameplay, pixel art and humor...
I think the fact we get to spend more time with the characters helps with creating an actual attachment to them, I am genuinely attached to Kris, Susie, Ralsei and all the characters that are pretty much always by your side during both chapters, I even like Berdly now !!
