A fun little twist to the standard Yu-Gi-Oh! formula at the time. It takes some getting used to but it's a lot of fun once you do. I can't consider this game mastered because the only two cards I'm missing are only available through the Destiny Draw mechanic and I have too much pride to suck that much ass just to put them in my library.

I think I was just too young to understand the complex nature of this game. Something always drew me back to it all the time, even though I kept losing (guessing it's just because I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh! nerd)
Regardless, I love the story and presentation of this game. Truly good stuff. A unique atmosphere that really pulls you in.

I got this game twice for the cards inside. I was awful at it.
Interesting twist on a Yu-Gi-Oh! game and one of the best non traditional Yu-Gi-Oh! games.
It plays like a game of chess with the trading cards. Couple new rules with movement, leader abilities and win conditions.
It's a somewhat complicated game to get into (especially with the mostly bad starter decks) but once you do it's pretty fun.

An interesting take on the formula but besides nostalgia, it is a mediocre RPG that is not interesting at all and is rather boring.
Definitely went through phases as a kid where I played this obsessively and had to get all my monsters to 9999 ATK/DEF points, for some reason. It can be kinda hard and it's also basically impossible to get every card in the game.
a game i really enjoyed as a kid, i still love it even now and it's easily my favourite way to play a yugioh game... wish they did more games in this style with the grid and movement

ERMM yeah otherwise itsa surprisingly solid lil grid action strategy game experience. I wish the deck building turned out more interesting; as a loootta the lineup - no matter the archetype - is dominated by noneffect filler monsters and redundant 'negate attack' style traps or some impractical power-ups you don't wanna bother with. Kinda boring in that way but eh - dealing with those WEIRD rules involved with the movement and grid action side of things carries well enough~ so it's cool! we like our yugioh games where the rules are a bit fucked up like this :) play it with some mods to maybe spruce up that map design and the cards in your opponent's decks for added funsies tho.

The Yugioh game where the characters are actually good. It should maybe be a small indictment that you feel like you gotta add mechanics to your card game but I actually appreciate the lateral experimentation.
Getting into it can be pretty hard but super fun once you do it. With a good starter deck you don't even need to farm to beat it wich is a blessing in an old ygo game.
thats a min to understand what ur doing and best comps and so on but thats yugioh in a nutshell
My first Yugioh game and it's interesting to say the least. It's basically Yugioh but with historic elements and the card game here is built more like a chess match. It's not prefect and man are some of the duelists unfair as shit but I still have nostalgia for it and I enjoyed overall.
