The best Action-RPG combat in a generation. Melee, Range, Dodge, and Guard skills are so artfully balanced you'll find yourself switching them up on the fly. And remember the leaden pace of avatars in RPG's of yesteryear? That's history – Lea moves at a silky, buttery clip, the world smoothly streaming by as you navigate layered environments. Hard to believe it's all HTML5. Best of all, the story is genuinely affecting, with evocative dialogue portraits and surprising plot turns.

felt like zelda fused with terranigma in expert mode

A personal favorite of mine. Not THE favorite, but y'now it's in my top three. The combat is legit the most perfect kind I've ever seen. It's amazing. The story is great too! Although the story isn't as perfect as the combat. Still an amazing game!

modern take on an og stile game, story is brilliant, gameplay is brilliant, graphics and animations are nice, puzzle difficulty with NO handholding, a blessing

Absolutely adore this game. First discovered it all the way back in 2015 and I've consistently recommended this fun Action RPG to anyone I have met. Seriously. Definitely in my top 10 favourite games for it's unique gameplay and incredible story. Beautiful pixel art and music too! I love this game soooo much. It even received a DLC recently. If you can please pick it up! You definitely won't regret this game! >w<

Absolutely the best game ever made.

Falta a DLC pra mim q dá conteúdo pós game e proporciona 10-20h.

Just an incredible fun game all-around

...Lea Hi! :D

Now for the real talk. I burned myself out trying to finish it and gave it a scarcely deserved 3 star rating. I have more good than bad to say, aint nobody wanna read allat tho.

I'll see about the rating when i tackle A New Home at a tame pace

Really fun combat, great puzzles, and generally charming story but the pacing is exhausting and the entire game is predicated on poorly communicated vertical platforming. Pretty sad to be shelving this since I was invested but after losing momentum to real life responsibilities and forcing myself through several hours of dungeons I struggle to find the willpower to continue stumbling around the overworld.

Flawless videogame, play this masterpiece.

While it can get exhausting in longer play sessions thanks to how intense the combat is and how difficult some puzzles are, CrossCode has a phenomenal narrative, memorable characters, a fantastic soundtrack, and enough content to satiate even the most die-hard RPG fan's sidequest addiction.

holy shit this game is BEAUTIFUL and HOLY SHIT THE COMBAT IS EPIC

Not for me. May go back to it later but just all seemed a bit bland

I first beat this game about a year ago and now I'm doing a NG+ run and going for all the trophies.

This is still the easiest 5-star review I've ever given a game.

Decent writing, but the movement and combat just aren't that appealing. The story also just wasn't able to catch my interest in the way I hoped it would. I had high hopes for this game but I ended up being pretty disappointed.

This is an outstanding game; around every corner of its story and world, the developers throw everything they have at you, you can clearly see how much passion went into this game and I love it. The combat is incredibly satisfying, the bosses are action packed and challenging, exploration is fun and natural, the story is interesting and developed, the puzzles are spectacularly made. That's why I give Crosscode 5 stars, it is one of my favourite games that I have ever played.

Before starting this review if you're planning on grabbing this game don't get the switch version unless you have no other option. While the switch port is totally playable, you're going to have an objectively better experience on Playstation or PC where the game won't drop frames nearly as frequently. With that said I grabbed this game purely on a whim after seeing a clip from linus tech tips briefly describing the game and showing some gameplay. In that first playthrough I got to the second dungeon's midboss and ended up setting it down for about a year before grabbing it again on switch, which was really where the game got its hooks into me.

This game is an ARPG with an art style inspired by the greats of the SNES and PS1 era like Chrono Trigger and the Mana series. The gameplay combines oldschool Zelda-like dungeons and puzzle solving with a combat system as flashy and fluid as Devil May Cry, making for a fantastic time if you're a fan of either playstyle. The story and character writing are among the best that I've experienced from an indie title and really help to immerse the player in the world with plenty of twists and turns to keep you engaged. Up until very recently this game was my favorite of all time, and it's still a very close second. I urge you to at least give the game a try for a few hours and see if it's a game for you, because I assure you that it's well worth it.

This is one of the best experience i have had with a video game

This game is legitimately so perfect that it actually becomes a flaw since pretty much no part of this game is underwhelming (Aside from maybe the endings), making me feel exhausted by even just singular dungeons, let alone the whole game. It was a good kind of exhaustion though, one akin to that of going on a run around the block in the morning. I respect the “Everything and the kitchen sink” approach the devs took here, because Crosscode constantly impressed me every single hour I played it. Of course, we all know that this game is a 10/10 just for Lea’s existence alone, so why should I ramble on about the perfect combat, great story, beautiful pixel graphics and charming characters. Lea is the perfect representation of all of this game’s greatness. It’s incredible how they really dropped one of the greatest gaming protagonists of all time like it was nothing.

Table Girl is one of my favorite characters in fiction.

I started playing without expecting much and ended up loving it.

My current favorite game of all time. A great balance between everything I love about video games. For the 70~ hours I have on it I could actually feel like a child again playing a game with pure passion and wonder

A fantastic ARPG that combines an interesting story with amazing gameplay and visuals. The level design and sidequests are extremely captivating and varied, do youself a favour if you like rpg's or puzzle games because this is a game you shouldn't miss out on.

If you like rpgs, zelda games, or anything in between this game has it all. There is many moves to pull off, a lot of quests to do, and the areas in this game is beautiful.

incredible combat system, great story, fun dungeons, and good puzzles. it should be talked about alongside other premiere indie games like hollow knight, shovel knight, and celeste.
