not my kind of game, but i can see why people like it

I know I gotta let it cook, but right now it's a 3/5.

i'm not smart enough for this game and it's still fun. I wish I could get payed to mess around in it.

Eu amo esse jogo mas achei um modpack de Minecraft que faz a exata mesma coisa, eu não acho que tenho tanta vontade de jogar assim em um futuro próximo.

Fun game and amazing OST, but the difficulty spikes wayyy too hard once you get to oil processing

Phenomenal factory-building simulator with no flaws. 2D gameplay and creative research trees create an unforgettable experience.

Great Game with endless opportunities and a large modding community.

as an engineering major this game is crack

I only wish the mid-late game was as satisfying as the early game. I liked the progression better in the early days when making the flying drones was much easier. Still a great game.

I’ve been playing this game since alpha and I’m still playing it. Despite this fact, I have never beaten the campaign once. I have played countless mods and started nearly 100 different saves. I love the early game but man fluid management and train scheduling makes my brain hurt. Fuck biters.

play with friends that are smarter than you, or reap the consequences of your hubris

Just a perfectly made game

very fun to ruin my friends' builds

The factory must grow! I was worried about the price when I first bought the game because unlike most games I had bought before it, it never went on sale. I am happy to say that this game exceeded my high expectations and I got hundreds of hours of fun out of it. There is so much replay-ability in this game! The devs have made it easy to make your own mods for it. Single-player is a blast game can also be made much more fun if you can convince a friend to play it with you. Highly recommenced!

This was a game I really wanted to get into, however it just wasn't for me. Before I get into why I wanna explain why I still gave it 4/5 stars, because this is a good game, even I can see that even though I didn't enjoy it.

However if you're unsure about this genre I will tell you about my experience, and why I decided to retire from factorio. This game is a breeding ground for anxiety and stress, and your enjoyment of it will highly depend on your organization and planning skills. It will make you question whether or not you have ADHD.
You see in this game there are two key components. The factory, and the biters. The factory's main purpose is to construct science and allow you to progress through the game, the biters attack the factory and try to stop you. If you aren't fast enough with developing the factory the biters who constantly evolve will catch up and you will functionally lose. If you aren't organized enough it will be incredibly difficult to keep pace with the biters, that's why it took me 5 tries and 100 hours just to beat this game once. It may be the hardest game I've completed, and that's entirely because of my own incompetence.

Back to the stress, anxiety, and ADHD comment, whenever there is a task that needs doing in you factory you will inevitably be drawn to another task while doing the first. This happened to me for 4 hours once. FOUR HOURS. My factory was on the verge of running out of power for FOUR HOURS, but oh wait, sulphur productions a little low gotta do that, then I can scale up batteries... wasn't there something important I'm supposed to be doing?

That warning being said, you really can't know if this is something you'll be suffering from until 10 hours into the game, and it's not the most expensive game in the world, so give it a go anyway. Just be less stubborn then me and call it quits earlier rather than 120 hours in.

very funny haha sosa industrial revoluition

Simplemente el mejor juego de gestión que existe, no tiene rival.

Mon esprit d'ingénieur est conquis

As far as factory games go this one is a best in genre. I've seen people playing it more than I have played it myself so when I finally sat down it was surprising how much the game expects you to figure out yourself without any guidance.

There is a certain fun to creating lines, optimising and organising the belts to connect things together as it exponentially grows, but I found the biter bugs to make the experience less fun as this constant eroding force that requires you to juggle the combat side of the game and makes building more tedious.

I think I lack the right type of autism to really sink my teeth into this one, or maybe it's knowing where the game ends up that I can see myself not really wanting to get invested. It's a creative idea taken to a high level, but maybe if gameplay was more puzzle focused with clear objectives I'd be more into it personally.

Another indie game banger. If you like optimizing everything you do to take the most efficient path to your goal, this game provides the opportunity to do so. Never had a sale and still worth every dollar.
