jogo ruim que ao mesmo tempo é bom kkkkkkkkkkk

They dared to make Elden Ring a good video game.

Wife’s Reaction:
“This game sounds like it was made by angsty teens trying to get back at their parents.”

I’m Here to Kill Chaos:
Stranger of Paradise is wild and I don’t get how it’s as good as it is. It’s much more of a pure action game than I thought it would be; combat is fast and the classes and gear offer nice variety and progression. The story ties to the first Final Fantasy in cool ways which is great that I played it last month. Yeah, I’m a big fan of this.

you know that clip from ratatouille where the food critic eats the ratatouille and gets a flashback to his childhood because it was just that good?
thats stranger of paradise, this is a ps2 ass video game and i respect it immensely for that

I’m still playing this game, so far p alright but here’s the thing…

Am I the only one who feels like the story itself is mostly a whole goddamn parody of p much 99% of FF games or JRPGs in general?

we must fuck chaos

anyways there is a half-decent game hidden in here somewhere the gameplay is enjoyable but it's very much brought down by boring level design, lack of enemy variety, and cringe ass story

PEAK. JACK GARLAND IS MY GOAT

Не ожидал что игра настолько понравится! Понравилась и боевая система, и сюжет, и графика, и дизайн локаций и врагов. Особенно порадовали отсылки на прошлые части серии в локациях и боссы

Combat is fun.

The story ehhhh...

I love the combat. As someone that played it because I like Final Fantasy and not because I like action games, I'm surprised with how fun it was. The job system is great too, with each job feeling distinct but letting you swap jobs so often that the gameplay always feels fresh. Everything else is mediocre though.

The story has some funny bits and a very interesting ending plot twist, but most of the dialogue is cliche and boring. The characters have little depth to their personality, and really just exist as plot devices to justify multi-player. Like it's still worth going through the story to see how they justify the main theme song of the game being My Way by Frank Sinatra, because they do somehow pull that off, but most of the story leading up to that is a slog.

Level design is boring, too many hallways. The equipment system sucks as there's just too much of it, and when you want to really optimize it's too hard to find the perfect gear. The post-game/DLC is very grindy and wants you to replay levels and bosses over and over again.

Worth playing through the main campaign for a fun time, but don't bother with anything after.

Great for co-op story is fucking dumb in a hilarious way filling out the job classes and having a much more fun time messing around with different weapons and abilities compared to Nioh series

Jack Garland is the best Final Fantasy protagonist in terms of just being an insane person with good intentions. Peak/10

Wow, this game is boring. A whatever Story, characters I don't care for, boring enemies, whatever fighting system. I was really looking foward playing this game, but I don't enjoy it all.

Things that bother me about this game and why I can't recommand it:
- Imagine giving a game the name of one of the biggest gaming franchise out there and only include like 10 different enemy types of whole franchise. The game from beginning to end feels repetitive and really not fun at all.

- having the typical final fanatsy job system actually is a nice idea for the genre. Might also be good to balance out the classes. With some classes you can run through the game like it's nothing. Other classes are just useless.

- this game has like acually only two interessting boss fights.

Rating: "What a waste of time" out of 10

This game actually fucks. Like play this with a friend and you'll have an amazing time.

Complete left field hitter for me, has probably breached my top 25 games within 8 hours of gameplay.

What the fuck kinda performance-enhancing drugs did Team Ninja get put on to make this absolute monster of a game?

Unironically one of the greatest Final Fantasy games.

Demanding, brutal combat against classic bosses and enemies from all of FF, a satisfying take on the job system, and a protagonist who starts off as a grump with no time for "Final Fantasy bullshit" before becoming possibly the most based character in the franchise. A must-play.

I finished this like a month ago and forgot to log it here so I'm gonna do my best to jot down some notes about it but I have almost certainly forgotten things so this "review" is going to be even more of a jumbled mess of my thoughts than my usual ""reviews"" are.

First off, this story bangs. It sucks, it fucks, it whips ass, it's incredible. Jack and his polycule do it their way. I love how it makes Jack & co. strangers to this world but you are also a stranger to it! Love that good title with double meaning bullshit. I do feel like I missed out a bit because I haven't palyed FF1, so not all the connections hit with their full force but the game does more than enough work to give context so all the big reveals land. It ends up being a really powerful ending!

I do wish we had more moments that we had gotten to know the party members as individual characters. They very occasionally get some lines of dialogue but it's really not much to give them the depth that I like to get from RPGs. Also, Sophia and Neon should have gotten together. Known woman-kisser Alexa Lily thinks the women should kiss, more news at 11.

It's a little mechanically odd, especially when you get into the loot and all the systems around it. I never kept an individual piece equipped for more than a mission or two because I got so much stuff so fast that I was always finding gear that was straight-up better all the time. So it meant dismantling stuff for materials only matters as a way to de-clutter the inventory screens and the blacksmith was almost entirely useless. If I had gotten into the post-game mission grind then it's obvious that I would've engaged with these systems more but as someone that was just hear for the story it was all so wildly unnecessary. It's just this weird situation where I can see all these systems in place—for the loot, the Job Affinity, even some of the more advanced combat mechanics—but I really have little to no need to mess with them at all because I just played through the story on normal difficulty and then stopped when the credits rolled. I can still look at them and appreciate the work that went into designing it and I can get a pretty good idea of how it all fits together but it does leave this weird feeling where I spent hours and hours in this game and all of it largely ignoring big parts of it.

Speaking of the items, this game commits the cardinal sin of loot games where they change my appearance but I can't put something in a cosmetic slot. Let me where a cool hat regardless of what the stats are! I desperately need to look cool while I punch goblins but your game doesn't allow for that!! Fucked up thing to do in to us in 2022.

I will never think of fistbumps the same way ever again.

Astos is one of the boys of all time. I need to soak him in water and wring him dry like a dirty washcloth. I need to squeeze him like a stressball. I need to neatly fold him up and keep him in my pocket. He is a lovely little gremlin and I would die for him.

the video game is good and the haters are wrong

endless bad level design but fun gameplay

edit: nvm chaos is fun

"Do not kill the part of you that is cringe - kill the part of you that cringes"

forgot to log this. combat was a lot of fun. nu metal was tight. i don't remember anything about the story. pretty cozy

If this had come out in 2009, it would be remembered as one of the best in the franchise

I feel like this is gonna be a game im gonna revisit in the future and come to appreciate alot more

I wish I could give this a higher rating because the combat loop is so, SO good, but the weak story, repetitive level design and ridiculous loot system all heavily detract from the experience at times. Definitely grab it on sale if you want a good mix of a soulslike and a character action game - just don’t expect too much else.

At least not til the end of the game though. That shit is PEAK

📜HISTOIRE
--------------------------
CHAOS !

💬CONCLUSION
--------------------------
Une bonne surprise, je ne pensais pas autant m'amuser sur le jeu. La coop est un grand plus après un Returnal décevant sur ce point la. A plus pour les DLC

I really enjoyed experimenting with different classes throughout the game, and the bosses were always something to look forward to at the end of the boring levels.

Jack is possibly my favorite video game protagonist ever and really carries the story to new heights for the Final Fantasy franchise.

Unfortunately no souls game that I'm aware of has managed to have a compelling gear system, the best thing I can say about this one is that it has so little impact on how you play the game that It may as well not exist.
