2011

This game did flop but I think it had potential. They should've gave more incentive to tackle side objectives, as I remember those being pretty irrelevant to the main objective. Pretty sure one body type dominated over the others, which also helped stagnate things. Parkour ended up not being that big of a deal, despite the game pushing it so hard in its advertising. Game's premise and lore was cool, and I liked the island accent of the Ark Security commander. Anything was better than yet another military shooter aesthetic, especially in the timeframe that this game was out.

One of the biggest disappointments I've had to swallow playing video games. Going from BC2 to this was a complete downgrade in so many ways. Starting with the small stuff, the campaign was complete generic schlock. BC2's campaign wasn't anything to write home about either, but at least it had memorable characters.

That blue filter tint did the game no favors and made BC2 look better in comparison.

Most importantly of all, the maps in BF3 were both sparse and vastly inferior to what BC2 offered. The level of destruction on hand was also cut down from the last game, as the maps didn't even provide that many houses or buildings in general to break down. I thought the weapon handling was a stepdown as well, and I disliked the UI.

After a year of being hype for this game, I dropped it in roughly two weeks. Been off Battlefield since.

Burnout is a great series and 3 was one of the series' peaks. Crash Mode was such a clutch addition, I spent whole sessions on that mode alone. This was also the first Burnout to go with licensed music and they assembled a memorable soundtrack out of it.

One of the best 3D Marios still to this day. Good amount of levels included and with 7 stars in each, there's plenty to explore and find. Controlling Mario was super smooth and the player was given so many useful maneuvers to utilize. Even after beating the game for the 1st time, there were still two whole worlds I never found and was able to experience post-game. The only main gripe I can bring up is controlling the Wing Cap and flying.

This game is so slept on, especially when compared to Mario Kart 64. Unlike MK64, this game has an actual single-player campaign that's worthwhile to boot, hidden collectibles to find, challenging bosses, and its battle mode is just as solid as MK64's. It was even ahead of its time with the different vehicle types, which Sonic All Stars later became known for. DKR is the definitive cart racer for the 64 IMO.

1st ever Mario Kart and still a fun game today. Feel like the best courses were in the last two cups, while the first two cups' courses were too easy and simplistic to leave a strong impression. Battle mode was the shit.

My first Kirby game and still one of my favorites out of the franchise. So many fun powerups and combos to play with, and plenty of great levels to use all these powers. Besides the main game, the minigames were addicting and worth playing by themselves. Game had plenty of bangers in the OST as well.

Doesn't come close to SSX and I'd gladly take Snowboard Kids over this one, but it was OK. Racing was the game's strong point, I don't recall doing tricks on half pipes was too much fun or controlled well.

This was surprisingly decent. I remember being impressed with the face mocap on the models and how close they looked to the real life counterparts.

Another great 3D Zelda and the artstyle stands the test of time. But I can't get over how tedious sailing is. I always had to switch between watching something on TV and setting a course for a faraway island just to maintain my interest in the game. Wasn't crazy about the dungeons in this game, thought they were all too straightforward. Have to acknowledge the final fight in this game, its the best out of the series hands down. I wish boss rush existed just so I could do that fight more often.

One of the classics for a reason, this pretty much set the blueprint for all other 3D Zeldas after it. Its not just a prototype though, some of this game's dungeons (Forest Temple, Fire Temple, and Spirit Temple) are still some of my favorites of the whole series. Timeless story as well, props to Nintendo for being willing to take Zelda in a darker direction with the 7-year time skip. Only gripes with the game are the obvious, the Water Temple and the combat being pretty jank and simplistic.

Wish future 3D Zeldas didn't ape this game so hard and tried more to do their own thing. Thank goodness BOTW exists.

So many hours spent grinding through all the levels, climbing up to A ranks and getting Chao materials. Game needed a few more Sonic/Shadow levels and they definitely could've cut down on some of those Tails/Eggman mech levels. And those two pointless car missions. Green Hill was NOT worth all that effort to unlock it.

Pretty good Mario Kart game. I like the zero gravity element and how your gameplan switches from avoiding opponents to intentionally bumping into them. They picked a good selection of old tracks to bring back, and the soundtrack was solid. End of the day though, its a Mario Kart through and through. No battle mode though.

Complete throwaway handheld port. Not good.

Just another cheap handheld port. I actually bothered to play it to completion, though I can't fathom why. I remember the sprites being pretty bad and turn-based combat being super basic.
