Finally got my first crops (turnip) just in time for the summer. And it was a genuinely exciting rush to have a buncha money when I woke up, this game is good.
I have trouble figuring out where the seeds are when your crops proliferate and I wanted to use the Switch's built in screencap tech to take a picture, but it feels like cheating. Not because I'm taking a picture, but because you I'm using the screencap function on a SNES game from 1996. I decided that if I find like a digital camera or something I would've had access to as a kid that would've been fair. I might jus try to do it on a piece of paper. This feels like morally correct cheating. I'm Chaotic Good.

Throughly in the groove, this game has flaws but I really like it

Kinda disappointing at Eve's optional loyalty mission to save her father and how easy it was. It's not like it would be better if it took more than one day, but it would be better if it took more than one press of the Y button. This is a game about a quaint and humble lifestyle that is now old enough that the game itself is quaint and humble.
I named my guy Moon and named my dog Harv.
I find it very interesting how religious the townfolks are.

this game is pretty good but everything in it is something that makes you go "yeah, i really liked that when I saw that in that other game too"
"oh yeah, i thought that was funny in castle crashers too"
"oh yeah, i thought that was a cool mechanic in binding of isaac too"
"oh yeah, i also like the monster designs in Dont Starve"
it feels mean to say there's no creativity in this game cuz there is, but it would be easy to throw the allegation of no creativity at it. It's hard to make something stand out in the world of pc rougelikes and this is another victim of that
