Very strong gameplay with lackluster writing, carried by it's strong voice performances. Gameplay wise, this is everything I wanted from a sequel to borderlands 2. There are so many fun weapons and builds to experiment with that, in concept, the game will never get old, however this unfortunately isn't the case when you come to realize that this game's endgame content is nowhere near as good as 2's was. The writing can be entertaining at times, however no one in the main cast, especially the villains, are anywhere near as likable as the BL2 cast, even the returning characters. However, even the worsts characters, like the calypso's, have stellar voice performances that make what would otherwise be awful lines become much more bearable.

Not a very long read, but a very fun one full of heart. Though it has some rare pacing issues (Sakura route in particular) nearly every second spent reading is enjoyable. Each of the three routes offer unique stories, whether it be about self-acceptance, making manga, or my personal favorite, meeting an ex-yakuza, and all of these stories are backed by 3 extremely likable heroines. I highly recommend Tokyo School Life to anyone who wants a fun, short, comfy visual novel.
