I don't proof my reviews. My scoring system is vibe based mostly. Just get a feel for it.

I originally played P5 in 2018 and it quickly became my favorite game of all time. I then replayed it in 2020 when Royal came out and this only reaffirmed my love of the game. I've spent the past few weeks replaying this game for the first time since then. However I don't know if it hold the same place in my heart anymore. I think the game is too long, has too many fake out deaths, and really beats you over the head with its themes. Despite my problems with it, I still love it. The music rocks from cover to cover. The characters are charming, with exception of Mishima. The combat is still amazing and the level you can customize persona's in this game is simply unmatched.

I love this game, I really do. My deep love of this game keeps me from giving it an honest review though.

I Earnestly cried 3 times while playing this game. I did not play the original but did go back to watch many of the original cutscenes and look at many of the original character portraits. I think a lot of the charm and tone of the game was lost in favor of this sleeker and brighter appearance. The music from cover to cover is absolutely BANGING with Full Moon Full Life absolutely taking the cake as my new favorite persona OP. The main gameplay is still your typical persona affair, and the story is still persona 3. This game is an absolute masterclass when it comes to JRPS and is talked about For A Reason. I'm beyond excited for The Answer to be added later this year.

I can't in good faith give this a proper review. I didn't get too far into the game at all because I simply got bored. I cannot play these games anymore. None of them do anything interesting really. There is like a hint of change in the Strong Style and Agile Style attacks but there is next to no reason to use either. The only thing I enjoy about this game is the renewed focus on catching and cataloguing Pokémon. For a franchise as profitable and successful as Pokémon there is no reason for the games to look and play this poorly. ESPECIALLY when the Xenoblade games look so damn good.

If I wanna play a good RPG with similar mechanics and creature collecting I will just play a Megami Tensei game.
