Games I Like That Everybody Else Dislikes

A deeply stupid spectacle that I have an unbreakable love for. Forget for a moment that it has Dante's best character design ever, forget that it has an atmospherically trippy story reminiscent of when you're at that perfect level of high and you start imagining super creative but nonsensical scenarios in your head (I particularly love the way in which in depicts how the corporate world still has a grip on the demon world), and forget that its wide array of enemy/boss styles are absurdly badass (magma bats, fleshy tanks/choppers, dapper suit-clad businessman with a revolver, a skyscraper that literally comes to life, and the penultimate boss is a chaotic blob of all the previous bosses) - even without all that it's still a blast. The broken 'square-button-mash-hell' combo system is really fun to manipulate to its limits, and even the big barren environments work imo - there's an eerie sense of isolation while being in such vast cities that are totally unpopulated. The true Achilles heel for me - making this feel its most unplayable - is its obtuse lock-on system which is by far one of the most inconvenient in all of gaming. But even still, I wish the other games acknowledged this one more. Is it the weakest DMC? Sure, but it still absolutely has its own, supremely dopey place in a series known for its madcap elements which don't at all feel out of place here. People who say this is one of the worst games ever made need to play more games.

When i started playing this game i was not expecting it to be anything great to the nature of other rabbids games. I certainly was not expecting it to be an awesome 2D platformer with tons of charm and awesome gameplay. the game uses the touch screen controls a lot yet it uses them well and remains fun, despite the clunkyness at times. The games humour is actually great and made me laugh out loud a few times, and it more than makes up for the lack of any real story. My favourite thing about this game though would have to be the earburstingly loud parody music that's constantly being sung by rabbids. Overall its just a really fun, great game and i think on of the DS's best.

A Zelda style game but instead of solving puzzles and fighting enemies you push rocks and dig through snow and die repeatedly because the games combat mechanics barely work and you cant hit enemies.

I wish i had this back. It sucks because the iphone 4 motion controls are garbage but i miss it so much.

Anyways this is a terrible version of Tetris

One piece unlimited world red, though flawed, is a fun action game that will appeal to anyone that likes one piece. The games main issue is that it expects you to enter all of its levels numerous times in order to collect resources to build up the town which serves as your hub world, however all of the levels are extremely linear in design and would work much better if you only had to visit them once. Still every level is quite a treat to play through on your first time and you'll see and fight many familiar faces from the manga. The game's combat is very simple and somewhat mindless, but still fun, however suffers during boss fights due to a lack of readability of the enemies attack patterns, especially on the tiny 3DS screen. Definitely the strongest part of the game is its story. Though it doesn't quite hold up when compared to something you could actually find in one piece, it was written by Oda himself and has some fun character interactions, a great villain, and a very sweet ending. Overall i enjoyed one piece: unlimited world red a lot despite its issues.

A platformer with unresponsive controls, sluggish game-play, and extremely boring visuals that almost never change throughout the entire game. It's not necessarily terrible, just incredibly, uninterestingly mediocre.

A garbage league of legends style one piece game with tons of gacha elements. also expects you to get a 3GB data download after you get the game, and puts in a request to track every single waking moment of your life.

2 Stars because its polished and looks decent.

A very generic shooter that happens to also be battle royal. played in 2018 - 2019 and then forgot about it.

Playing this with a friend made me realize not only does the base game still suck, the multiplayer sucks too.

Typical NES game than can be kinda fun for 5 minutes before the difficulty level randomly spikes to extreme unfair difficulties that are supposed to be meant for arcade games to make money.

This game is so fun for the first level before becoming a boring difficult slog. It must have been revolutionary for its time and i understand why it's loved, but as someone with no nostalgia for it I can't have fun playing it now and i will probably never beat it.

It has its charm but it is ridiculously clunky and does not feel very good to control. it doesn't have a whole lot of modes either. A fun little experience on the SNES but nothing more.

I am way too deathly scared of the ocean to ever finish this game or properly enjoy it. I can barely handle the stress of getting out of my base and seeing a slightly aggressive fish. Its a really cool survival game that looks amazing and allows for so much creativity, i just happen to be unable to properly play it.

This often feels nearly identical to MarioKart: super circuit, however with less polish overall. The in game visuals and controls are extremely similar, however the game has a bit of a problem with its item variety, which is very limited. There is an "adventure mode" which would be cool if that meant anything more than a hub world with no story that really doesn't serve much purpose. Aside from that you just have basic arcade style races to participate in over and over. Crash nitro kart can be fun, but i really would just recommend playing Mariokart: super circuit instead.
