This game is really good, especially for the price! I feel like there's two main ways it tends to get played, so I'd like to take a moment to detail both.

The first way, and the way I played when first introduced to the game, is when you take the game seriously. There's silly moments, sure, but everyone is focused on doing their task and meeting quota to the best of their ability. Not too many nonsense deaths, and conversation tends to pertain to the game itself rather than straying away from it.

The second way, a way i've gotten more familiar with as I've played with more people, would be when it's treated almost more like a chat room. People goof off, there's a lot of nonsense deaths, and conversation tends to pertain to other things rather than the game. You also tend to see this environment more commonly in modded lobbies, but not always.

And frankly, I enjoy both ways of enjoying the game quite a lot. I tend to prefer it when people take the game more seriously, but it can be quite a bit of fun when people are being silly too.

The game is still in it's very early stages, so it can't be judged too harshly, but I do think it could use a bit more fleshing out. Both in terms of generation, and in terms of monsters. But I imagine this will come in due time, and I very much look forward to seeing what will come in the future. For now it's a perfectly good game and I can recommend it in good faith. Great for game nights with friends!

This game is really great, I played it for the first time a few years back and I can confidently say it's still worth playing, even at present. [And you can get it translated for free, which is a plus.]

The game has a decent enough story, and the gameplay itself is very fun. The platforming almost feels a bit...floaty? But in a satisfying, unique way. I haven't really played any other games like it that control quite in the same way. Despite the perceived floatiness, it still feels very nice to control.

All of the weapons you can get throughout the game are pretty wonderful, and I like that some are locked behind certain conditions, meaning you won't experience them all in a single play through.

The level design is quite good overall, though I do think the back and forth in grasstown specifically is a bit obnoxious.

There's also plenty of very interesting bosses, that encourage you to figure out their weaknesses. Which I very much enjoy! They can be a bit hard, but the game rewards you for figuring out the proper way to approach them.

Additionally, the OST is incredible. I don't think there is a single song I dislike in the entirety of it. Each song is memorable, and fit thematically to where they play very well.

Great game, you should play it if you've the time

This game is really well made for what it is, and has a surprising amount of depth [and a pretty active competitive scene] if that's your sort of fancy.

I quite enjoy playing it with friends, and it's a very easy way to spend an afternoon. The storymode is a bit lacking, but I'm not really sure who'd buy a multiplayer kart racer for the story, anyway. [You do have to beat it to unlock all the characters, though.]

This game features a really fun mechanic where you pick two characters to play with different stats and abilities, and you can switch which character you're "driving" and which character you're "steering" with, so you can switch to what character better suits your needs at any given moment. [as you get the other character's stats when you swap] Additionally, you have the choice between both characters special abilities, which is fun!

I think my biggest wants from this game would be for them to add more maps, and maybe a few characters. At this time, it's unclear if the devs have completely stopped support on this game. But it seems likely.

Additionally, this game has a bit of a higher pricepoint for what it is, so I have to knock down a few points for that. It's good, but it can be hard to justify for those without a lot of money to spend.

All in all though, good game! If you're thinking of getting it for game night, I'd say go for it.
