Interesting platformer taking inspiration from Abuse. Only problem is, it is much worse than Abuse. The shooting and gore mechanics are fun, but the platforming is janky and frustrating. The boss design is also terrible, feels like they are there just to frustrate you. The regular enemy design is good, but is brought down by janky movement. Music is also interesting. Would say give it a try since it is so cheap, but the game is a slog.

Stripped down version of Dark Souls with less punishing combat. Gameplay is about average for the soulslike genre. Good first soulslike outside of Dark Souls itself. I really enjoyed the story and themes so I rated it higher than I would otherwise. As well the level design and world are extremely well made. I would recommend if you are looking for small scale soulslike.

Played it on the remaster on Series X. Really only way you should play it, never had an FPS dip ever the entire time I played it. The combat in this game is amazing, I think it is even better than Ninja Gaiden 1, but I am basing that of Sigma I will have to play Black. Although there is more mean punishing bullshit in this game, the pure bliss of the satisfying well balanced combat really outweighs it. Story in this game still isn't great, but it is much better since I actually felt a bit of something for the characters unlike the first. You don't really come to these games for story though, you come for awesome fights and over the top violence, which this game delivers in droves. The bosses are just okay to actually terrible, but the regular mobs are extremely satisfying to fight and learn their intricacies. This game isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy challenging combat and ridiculous violence this game will be amazing for you.

Gameplay is really good. Story is mediocre, but the mission designs and the soundtrack makeup for it. Combat is extremely satisfying and well balanced against the dinosaurs. PVP is bit a clunky, but is unique and once you have the hang of it is similarly as satisfying as the PVE combat. Great attention to detail in every element of the game, especially in the animation department. Raid bosses, horde shooter sections, monster hunter like dinosaurs, and unique PVP. What is not to love about this game? Please play this one probably doesn't have very much time left alive.

Finished a playthrough on Zealot recently. The new patch brought a lot of improvments which raised the experience for me. Higher level missions are extremely well balanced and intense, if you have the right team, but that's true of all good horde shooters. Never gets as intense as GTFO but reaches about the same heights as LFD2 and the combat is extremely visceral and satisfying. The only element I think game really lags behind its contemporary's is its optimization and at times story. The world building is great, but the clear lack of direction for the story is a bummer in an otherwise fantastic experience.

Awesome game. Combat is superb and the horror is very intense. Although I would say the story is pretty bad at points the amazing gameplay and amazing technical feats on display here makes that easy to look past. I also dislike one or two of the puzzles, but those are short and only take a few deaths to figure out.
