Fun fact: The early prototype of the original Halo Combat Evolved (2001) was an RTS game; later on the project the team shifted their focus to a "console based FPS". Therefore, it's only fitting that a real time strategy game would fit in this universe, but something like this would only be launched 8 years later with Halo Wars.

Fun fact: this Pokemon generation (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum) is the first to introduce international "matchmaking". Allowing players to play and trade globally.

Fun fact: The devs admitted that the game is heavily inspired by Darkest Dungeon and The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild both visually and mechanically.

Fun fact: Melina Juergens, the actress who portrays Senua, didn't have any prior experience with acting before this game. Actually, she was a video editor for Ninja Theory and was invited to perform the role while they were looking for an actress. Finally, after seeing her perfomance they gave her the role.

Fun fact: a fan named Tobias Pfaff was asked by the devs if they could use his mod/code on the remastered version. This mod added the point-and-click interface to the game. And finally, he let them use it.

Fun fact: the motion capture for this game was done during the Covid pandemic, therefore the scenes were made without physical contact and later edited to make it work.

Fun fact: RE0 was originally planned to be released on the Nintendo 64, however due to development issues, the game was revamped for the Nintendo Gamecube. On another note, this is also the first mainline RE game to be developed outside the main team, which could explain the new direction.

Fun fact: this game (like its predecessor) was developt by "Team Gravity", also known as "Project Siren", which is Japan Studio's team lead by Silent Hill 1 director/creator, Keiichiro Toyama.

Fun fact: Initially, Naoki Yoshida (Final Fantasy XIV director) was supposed to lead the project, but due to his agenda he could only afford to be producer. Therefore, to create the game, he assembled a crew composed of several senior members and experienced teams from the industry. Which means that they had help from: "Creative Business Unit 1" (Square Enix), Tai Yasue's team (Kingdom Hearts, also Square Enix), Takahisa Taura's team (PlatinumGames) and Ryota Suzuki (Devil May Cry, Capcom based).

Fun fact: the game's writer pointed out that some franchises served as inspiration for the cinematic action (and feeling) of the game: 007 (mainly Casino Royale), the Bourne Trilogy, and the TV series Firefly.

Fun fact: on the original concept, "Alan Wake" was supposed to be an open world game. The idea was scrapped due to many reasons, but you can see a faint resemblance on some features in the final product, such as the mini map and the driving mechanic.

Fun fact: even though the franchise is still relevant, vermintide is based upon a discontinued property of Games Workshop, "Warhammer Fantasy". On the lore, this universe eventually gave away to the forces of chaos, and was reset by this god-like figure, Sigmar. Therefore, starting the new property "Warhammer: Age of Sigmar".
