Halo CE is a great start to a fantastic series that sets a lot of what made the series so great in motion, though not without a few flaws, specifically towards the end of the campaign. Assets begin to be reused much more than feels necessary, and a lot of outright backtracking happens, with not many physical changes except new enemies in old areas. But past that, the campaign is great, even for people who aren't used to the FPS genre, since the game has short, but in-depth enough tutorials on lower difficulties, while not nagging the player. The multiplayer in CE isn't as refined as later games, but the lack of online and focus on split-screen with how maps and modes were designed were mostly the cause of that. If you're going to play Halo for the story and campaigns (which honestly, you should), it's best to start with this one.

this game isn't really standout in any sense, it's just a 2 player brawler based on a movie, kind of along the lines of shrek 2 for the gamecube as well, but it's at least not TERRIBLE, there's just nothing worth playing it for. not fun at all single player and just barely fun with a friend to play with

i really wish that this game had more to deliver with how it brought back the mech idea from starfox 2 on the SNES, but all it ended up being was a rehashed retelling of starfox 64 with reliance on a console specific gimmick that stopped it from being the best it could be as a starfox game. if you get used to the gamepad shooting, it works fine, but it's more annoying than it is a fun game mechanic. recommend just playing 64 or 64 3D instead

good platform fighter that has a few too many people who play exclusively the custom workshop characters in the game and nothing else. the base game characters, along with the DLC now that it's sold with the game in the definitive edition, are unique enough and fun to play around with where someone not acquainted with platform fighters already can have a lot of fun with it. also has a good community

this game is probably the fastest dying multiplayer shooter that has ever released. it just doesn't have enough standout mechanics in it to be worth playing and what content it did have was overshadowed by the fact you'd be playing it again and again with little to no actual variation of how the matches played out. just not fun, and also, it's just dead now

the game is just a lackluster mario kart game that has the advantage of being portable even though its' main series is already on a modern portable console. the game has microtransactions that can end up heavily impacting your gameplay and it just feels half-baked. not worth playing, let alone spending extra money on

this game definitely has the aura of just being a background game for youtubers to put as b-roll in their videos but it's definitely more than just that. it's fun for what's in the game but it suffers from being a bit too short, the bonus levels not feeling like they're long enough to stretch out the game time. but overall, it's a fun 'parkour'ish type of game that's fun to speedrun through, playing with the different ability sets each time

this is the sort of game you look at and go 'haha, it must be pretty funny to play if it's that bad' and god is it not. just don't even touch it as a joke, it's not worth it

sonic 4 episode 2 is at least a little bit better than the original game. i wouldn't say it's worth playing but there's some redeeming aspects to it, like the more creative level aesthetics and much, much better looking graphics on top of better sounding audio too. but the partner mechanic is overused to the point of being annoying, and none of the progress from the first episode is carried over, you only get an additional metal sonic chapter, which is pretty much as average as the base game anyways. wouldn't really recommend, considering there are better 2D sonic games on steam to be playing instead

there are so many other better rpgs to be playing on the DS than this. please just don't play it. the soundtrack is god awful, the gameplay is flat and boring, there's just nothing you can get out of this game. just don't

having a five star review doesn't necessarily mean the game is by any means perfect, but it's damn near close - beatsaber is a must-have vr game with amazing game feel, it being able to immerse you into the game without even really having a 'world' to immerse you in. the default soundtrack of the game is fine, but with dlc addons and modding support, the game has practically endless content - from songs entirely made for the joke, or ridiculous high-end player content you'd expect from a rhythm game. if you can afford to pick it up (having a headset, of course), ABSOLUTELY do it. i just can't find a flaw with the game that wouldn't have to do with the headset being used in tandem or the controllers not tracking well enough to play, which isn't the game's fault - so, play it

this game is basically a loveletter to people who are already necrodancer fans, and is a nice little side game for people who are fans of zelda. it takes the elements of necrodancer and puts it into a zelda fashion so it has a much larger, more open world compared to the linear dungeon layout of necrodancer, which works almost TOO well with the gameplay style. like with necrodancer, you're still going to need to be rhythmically able to be able to play this game properly, as the beatless mode practically turns it into a very weird chess-like game of zelda. the game is even more replayable than necrodancer is, and has more polish and better sprite art, along with original music and fantastic remixes of existing zelda songs. if you're a zelda fan, play the demo to see if you're into it, and if you're a necrodancer or rhythm game fan, absolutely get it

RTS games don't always work as well on consoles as they do on PC, but the easy to understand yet still having a skill curve gameplay of halo wars makes it work really well on a platform not usually a home of the genre. it falls short of being truly in-depth and complex like other RTS games, but it still offers a lot regardless. has a pretty damn good campaign too, especially if you're a fan of cutscenes in already existing halo games

pretty good beat-em-up that reminds me a lot of the scott pilgrim game with its' level-up system and RPG-like elements. has surprisingly good combos to use in tandem with your second player that end up making the game more fun to play with someone else if solely on the basis of doing cool things. otherwise, standard, nice-looking beat-em-up

the game is...not bad, necessarily? it suffers from a lot of framerate slowdown in sections and the levels are honestly boring in comparison to the rest of the sonic series, even on the genesis itself, not to mention the game's physics just make it...meh to play. go ahead and play if you like sonic and pinball? can't recommend it
