More like 'won't save my game sponge'.

I tried. I gave Christian Whitehead another chance, but it still just wasn't doing it for me. I appreciate the attempt, believe me, I do, but again I just don't think these games were meant for this format. I like the extras, I like the graphics/look of the game (it has some touchups I noticed), and I like how it's free and accessible most importantly, but how it plays is also important and it doesn't play much better than 1. Now it does have much better level design (except Wing Fortress Zone, which is worse than any Sonic 1 level I can think of), and Tails is a great inclusion, not only for other characters, but for helping tedious platforming. Overall, a slight improvement over 1, but I'll probably play any other version to continue these games.

Also, where's 3? It just sorta skips to CD. Not like I care. I'm not gonna play any of them. I was just wondering.

i payed $1000 alimony to my fucking shitty wife because of this game

I played the arcade version, but it's not on here, and I refuse to get a shitty Twitch account just to add it.

I've never actually completed this game. So when I heard it was free on the app store, I wanted to pick it up again. As nice as it was to have a spindash in Sonic 1, that's really the only advantage I see on the mobile version rather than the original or even any other console ports. The controls are awful. This maybe just the fact I have big ass fingers, and I never got used to touch controls, but even without that, I just don't think the classic Sonic games were made for this control scheme, especially 1, given the fact that it's level design was made for you to be a little slower, and the added spindash/crouchdash makes it more awkward. Another thing is the ads. Now I know without the ads, it wouldn't be free, but these things pop up fucking everywhere, even when I push "start game". As for the game itself, it has it's flaws: the level design is honestly terrible for the most part, the boss fights are really bad and forgettable, and some of the game's physics are flawed as well. But there were some stuff that outweighed the bad, such as the music and the overrall game play. So I liked it enough to go back to it someday, just not on the mobile version.

My addiction in middle school, and I'm still having trouble with it. Help.

I may not have as fond of memories as other people do (I was more of a PictoChat guy), but I won't deny the legacy this gave, and the memories that so many people have with it. Also, some of the animations people make are so amazing.

The first game I've ever owned, and it still holds up. I miss my childhood and playing this with my friends.

That fucking Neversoft opening scarred me as a kid. Pretty good other than that.

I completed this, but not the original. Whoops.
