Upon beating the game and starting hard mode, i figured out that when you get game over, if you hold the A button then press start, you restart from the first level in the world you died in.... The game is a lot easier with this feature

DMC1 rips it's so clunky and weird, you can really feel them breaking into a new genre and also all these weird vestiges of resident evil. It's not what it's going to be but it's cool how well-formed it all is, like the game feels great to play and it feels great to get good at it. The checkpoint system is the worst thing I've ever experienced in my entire life but I love the game a lot, real good

One of the most joyless gaming experiences I have ever gone through. A nonexistent story paired with gameplay that aged like milk makes for one of my worst one-day gaming sessions I've ever had.

Plot and narrative are terribly derivative, even the general cyberpunk tropes aren't deeply explored. we can actually see a glamourization of late capitalism developments rather than a criticism of overwhelming information as postulated by William Gibson or even Pondsmith. Beyond the shallow story, the game is badly optimized for PC, buggy and has lacking RPG systems and combat.

This is a very good platforming game with a lot of variation, but it may be a bit too big for its breeches to get a perfect rating. The ending levels are an absolute drag and just not fun to play through, which is a shame because everything up to that point is pretty great. World just did it all better.

I'm making this review more to mark off a checklist, it's everything you'd expect if you dumbed down everything about Mario Kart so anyone could finish it on a 50cc level in first place without putting in much effort. It's exactly what you expect if you decided to take away 80% of the components to make something more commercial and accessible to a wide audience, which is INSANE when Mario Kart is already a game that appeases mostly everyone??
It was not a good time at Dave n Busters that's for sure. (4/10)
