Super fun spirtual successor to DKC, learnt a lot of lessons from the first yooka game and came out with a really fun game that adds some big new twists while still keeping it like DKC
Absolutely the best anime style fighting game ever made and is very unlikely to ever be topped, also has the best fighting game character ever made Faust.
incredibly well done atmosphere and cool robots do a lot to mask the fact that this is a game where the gameplay is looking left to right then quickly peeking at a monitor repeatedly until the game ends.
the atmosphere is less well crafted than the first game and you have very little breathing room due to the sheer number of animatronics attacking you so the game is even more about quickly peeking at things in the same pattern while making sure you don't die
Finally the series gives you a reason to actually monitor the cameras and the game regains some of the original atmosphere while having more interesting gameplay.
the budget was increased a lot in this game and the game shifts its focus to the story here. Each night is a minigame, and most of them are fine except for night 4 which sucks in every way
Decent opening for the series that establishes a lot of base things for later but doesn't set the world on fire story wise, the gameplay foundation is also fun with nice weapons but levels that often feel like they drag on too long.
