The series skipped the fourth game as a bit.
The original Japanese release is inexplicably titled "Time Cruise II" despite the original Time Cruise being canceled while in development. They had the sense to drop the number for the western TG16 release.

Power Punch II
The flash game Electricman 2 does this with no predecessor, same for Lacuna III when there exists no Lacuna I or II
Would Fallout 76 and Battlefield 2042 count? Totally understand if not because its seen as more of a joke with these two.

Dune 2 might not quite fit, because a game named Dune did come out earlier that year. But they were completely unrelated to each other and (if I'm remembering the story right) Dune II was just going to be called Dune until they found out about the other one.
