Holds your nostalgia hostage to force you through a completely frictionless and drawn-out main campaign. Literally the only thing propelling you is wanting to see the remade locales and scenes from the original game, but in order to do that you have to slog through mandatory minigames and the most baffling “comedic” scenes and characters you’ve ever seen in your life. There’s a much better game here with much less excess. The combat is largely fun, the world is gorgeous, and Queen’s Blood could genuinely be a stand alone game. But the main story drags it down so hard. I can only imagine how bloated the third part is going to be.
