This game is good, but I have some criticisms that I would like to start with, first of all the chapter which is a race is way too difficult, I really hated that chapter, the gameplay also feels really repetitive a lot of the time which really dragged this game down, that being said the combat/shooting I found to be really fun and I really disliked the driving especially during that race, it's just it felt really monotonous. Where this game shines is the story, I love a good mobster story and this game really delivers with the classic rise and fall structure, I really liked how the entire game was the main character (Tommy) telling a ratting on the family, I also really liked seeing Tommy getting embraced into the mob and then slowly, little by little getting disillusioned with it, I love how quickly the mob turns on Tommy it really shows that after everything he's done for them they only value loyalty, overall good story sort of dragged down by some lacklustre gameplay.
Amazing game, the gameplay is really great, I would even go as far to say that in the last 10 years this gameplay has yet to feel outdated at all, the driving is easily the best in the series, the story is also really great, I love that there are three protagonists who bounce off of eachother very well, I like how you can start missions as different characters and there will be a different cutscene, I also really like the third way ending, and it's just a really well written game which I'm glad I finally replayed.
One of the best games ever made, no Bethesda fallout could ever be this good. There's so much choice, the writing is amazing for basically every quest and there are so many quests so that makes it extra great, it has quantity and quality. I love the way the world is presented, civilisation has essentially rebuilt itself since the war and now the real conflicts are starting, and it's the player who gets to choose the winner to this war, there are so many little secrets and details in this game that it seems impossible that it was made in one and a half years, this game is a masterpiece that will never be surpassed by any other fallout.
