I don't participate in fandoms anymore for these reasons. There are quite a few amazing games here, and I really don't want to know what the community is like since I'm afraid it will hurt the games for me

@G0dot yeah, I remember having Undertale kind of get ruined for me back in the day. Also, not a game, but had a similar experience with Naruto.
It sucks, though, because communities can really elevate a story from just good to something truly special.

Somehow you managed to be even more annoying than all those communities put together

Engaging with the Three Houses fanbase taught me that if a community is basically a battlefield, it is on me to leave it while I can or else it will sour my entire view on the game or media and I will become a worse person. It will be important to remember this.
