everything was great until the takano reveal

this game has an amazing story and extremely likable characters but its gameplay is so shallow, so tedious and so easy that it kinda ruined my experience with it. most of the boss fights being snoozefests did not help either.

tüm sonları aldıktan sonra buraya eklerim diyodum ama bunu dedikten sonraki gün kalan 88 sonu almaya çok üşendim

it's definitely a weird jrpg. you can finish the game without beating any encounters except the mandatory boss fights and get op by playing a card game. the drawing mechanic is a chore, but the junctioning system is extremely fun and customizable. the story is a bunch of random ideas compressed together but it still manages to be emotional and impactful.

wish the first three discs tried to be more weird like the fourth disc.

uchikoshi you fucking mad lad

it's a love letter to the medium itself and a glance into suda's mind where he reflects about his own past as a creator. I loved the game's writing and how sincere it was but the gameplay and level designs are so fucking bad that I had no fun playing it

average marvel fan versus average miike appreciator

extremely inconsistent writing, there are some really good ideas in the game but most of its runtime is filled with padding which is awfully boring.

it also looks and sounds (except the voice acting) like shit

zero escape should just have ended with 999

the story is pretty simple for an rpg nowadays, but it's not that bad except for some plot twists. even though the story is pretty simple, the mechanics and the game design actually compliment the narrative really well.

also the 3D models look pretty good
