RGG Studios hit it out of the park with this one. The plot was fantastic acting as both a proper sendoff to Kiryu and making Ichiban a much better protagonist. The pacing was great and there were very little low points where I wasn't engaged or enjoying myself.
The previous entry had some very surface level turn based combat that barely required thought, but with the changes made to how stats are rewarded and the addition of knockback I'm actively switching jobs all the time and getting into every fight I see. Infinite Wealth has made Like a Dragon 7 unplayable and I won't be going back.
The presentation for this game is in another league compared to RGG's previous works and I imagine this will be the new peak of the series for the next decade just like Yakuza 0. Thank you for this wonderful game RGG, if only your DLC practices weren't so scummy.

This mod is at its best during its test chambers, the downtime isn't terribly interesting as most of the jokes aren't really funny, the plot is very bland, and the voice acting can occasionally be annoying at times, although I found this happened more with Stirling than Emilia.
I'd bump the rating higher if they ironed out some bugs because although the game is playable from start to finish, I encountered 3 soft locks, a sphere teleporting outside the map, and corrupted saves that forced me to restart the chapter, except the new game option always forced me into chapter 1 no matter which chapter I selected to start from, so I had to use the console to load into a map instead.

Gunplay is fun and that's all there is to it. BioShock was already a dumbed down version of System Shock 2 and it comes off more faithful to that than this game is to BioShock. The biggest problems is with the plot, we've gone from one of the best twists in gaming to a plot that wants to juggle every theme under the sun and fumbles every single one of them in the most embarrassing ways possible.
The only legacy this game has is with its female lead, Elizabeth, becoming an early 2010s icon in animated porn.
