Gameplay is way too similar to Slender: The Eight Pages but hey at least the monster in this one is actually scary.

Aside from the obvious primary school nostalgia this is such a good game. Super fun gameplay, great soundtrack, and a great adventure all around.

It's nice to see the early prototype for what became the much better second game but the lack of story and gameplay left me feeling underwhelmed.

Never understood the hype surrounding this game.

So the good ending is the old sandman character having a crush on a high school girl and becoming sleepless because of that, WTF???

For all its simplistic art design and gameplay the story is surprisingly mature and despite the tense scary atmosphere the ending is heartbreaking.

2012

Never brush off the fact that it's RPG as something that wasn't scary, because this game made me so anxious. Also great story and characters.

Never finished this but for all its clunky gameplay I kind of enjoyed the story.

The giant monster chase sequences were always anxiety-inducing but that's about it.

2011

Characters always act like they were in a shitty anime.

Nothing beats the board game and paper money aspect of Monopoly, okay? Not even this shitty "reimagining".

2014

Never got 2048 so fuck this game.

The game was so much fun for the first... week? Afterwards got really stale and lame because there's nothing much gameplay-wise.

Felt very reminiscent of Charlie Kaufman's Adaptation. Very ambitious and novel idea for a game.

A bit overhyped but this survival horror is a game changer (I hate myself) that took a more grounded and primal approach to evoking fear.
