First time finishing a FF game and it lived up to the hype. FF16 had easily the most fun and enjoyable combat I've ever experienced in a game before. As well as having a wolf as a main character!!!! Unforgettable experience with what I'd say is my favourite video game protagonist. Writing this review I honestly miss it, will definitely jump into a ng+ playthrough sometime down the line.

The Engage mechanic is one of the coolest things Fire Emblem has introduced as the main gimmick for a game, the combat is definitely something that makes it stand out among past entries in the series. Definitely preferred the main character being voiced as opposed to what Byleth was in 3H, makes them actually have some personality for me (not a fan of silent protagonists). Was definitely a nice breath of fresh air after Three Houses.

Lots of cool experiences made possible with Cappy, was really fun interacting with the world as well, especially New Donk City.
