It's peak fiction Konicon, you will never understand it

at first, i didn't care for this game compared to other ys games
the combat was just more of ys seven/memories, the characters were boring, the areas seemed much more held back than previous entries, and the story started out in typical ys fashion and then started jogging in place.
but as the game went on, the gameplay got more fun and dynamic, the characters were fleshed out to the point where they might be the best in the series so far, the story was engaging the more you learn about dana, the lacrimosa and the island, and the levels, while still a tad restricted (likely due to the vita lmao) began to impress me
it's a slow burn, but it burns bright

Nobody told me this was lowkey a Metroidvania game! Really enjoyed this one. The characters are two dimensional cardboard cutouts and I could not tell you what the hell happened in the story, but the gameplay is so tight and the loop is so insanely addicting that I really didn't care. There's also something really charming about the visual style to me for some reason.

One of the greatest Ys games, an adventure filled with lots of exploration and an intriguing questline surrounding Dana.

not really a masterpiece but i love it
Combat is ok, smooth and comfortable, too simple though. Not as fun as 2D Ys.
Story is good, the first three chapters are too slow though.
Character is ok(except dana), not as memorable as the kiseki series but still good.
World exploration is great, but still have invisible walls that make me remember it's a falcom game and not xenoblade.
Music is as good as always. Some persona shit but not big problem.
The true end boss fight make me cry, A TO Z is amazing.
Falcom deserves more attention, people who take too much care of graphic are stupid.

What I mean is if there's player one on the left and player two on the right, that's a Tekkenlike fighting game. it's not meant to be overanalyzed lol.

The best YS story period and probably even in most action RPGs.

The combat is alright, I don't mind party-based combat that the new Ys adapts, but the combat in this game is really broken, flash guard and rolls are so easy to abuse.

The characters are really good, especially Dana which is truly the best heroine in the series along with probably Feena.
The music is one of the best in the series, I still listen to it to this day.

The story starts out slow to introduce you to the world and the casts but after a certain chapter it really took off while keeping the intensity going.

Plus the true ending is bittersweet.

Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim is another solid game in the Ys series that boasts my favorite engine of the three available in the Ys series.

The music, world, and characters are not on par with Origin or Oath and neither is the gameplay but it's somewhat expected considering this was the first game in the "Ark" engine. The story however, is very good and has a lot of good development especially towards the end of the game. Don't skip on this one if you enjoy the Ys series!
