My second Yakuza game. It felt rewarding to experience this with the context of 0. I’m a few hours into Kiwami 2 now as well and loving it. I can tell that this is a luxurious series that I can never get tired of. I feel like I’m watching a television series and each game is a season. The pacing is so refined and cinematic. I’m not sure I can say much more than my review of 0, but I’m fully on board with these games. I didn’t want to hang out in this one as long as 0, but the quality overall is still on par if not a little less flashy in comparison. I love video games stories but it’s cool to play through stories that were obviously written by someone with strong writing experience outside of video games. It’s been a breeze to play through these so far. I’m ecstatic to see how the series evolves going forward.
