A quick write-up. It's hard to not compare these games to their previous entries and start counting the cool stuff that is now missing. But if you're looking for a modern MMA game, this one hasn't gone to shit yet and has a good career mode.

If you always hated the ground game, there's a simplified version of it, which lets you get up much easier or attempt other actions by just selecting one direction with the left analog. The striking is alright, but it could feel more impactful.

I appreciate that they update the roster so that the game doesn't feel outdated, adding fighters such as Michael Chandler or Prochazka which debuted after the game came out so if you wanna play with your favorite fighters, this a is a good pick-up. (Played it on EA PLAY)

First of all, let me just get it out there. Virtua Fighter 5 was a great game. But this is one of the laziest ports/re-releases I have ever seen come out of a company. It's so basic it hurts, the content is trash compared to the original PS3/360 releases that are fucking FOURTEEN YEARS OLD as of this writing. Oh, the lighting is better? Who gives a shit.

This game had a wet fart of buildup with esports in big blinking lights and obviously banking on online being popular, so you'd think they would make the online any good? Of course not. Even better, lets put it against Guilty Gear Strive and its rollback netcode and the fact that it's actually a brand new game and not something from literally fifteen years ago.

The worst part of this thing is that the top shitlords at Sega of Japan are going to use this as an excuse to go "oh I guess people don't like Virtua Fighter" and shelve the series eternally. This company deserves every ounce of liquid shit thrown at them.

A damn shame too, I liked this series.

By far the most crazy Dragon Ball game in terms of content when it comes to unlock things.
But it's so much fun!

I made it to the celestial floor so I am legally certified to say this game sucks and is the worst Guilty Gear ever. No swaggy combos and kookly ass characters. Jiyuna failed to save Guilty Gear.

But in actuality it's okay. Fun to play with your friends and it's awesome how I can fight overseas friends with minimum lag (still there but is not as bad as every other Arc Sys delayed based netcode game). Speaking of the netplay, the matchmaking is horrible and hopefully they can patch it up soon. I know it's been beaten to death but failing to connect to 80% of the lobby is obnoxious. The game has an amazing tutorial section where the further you look into it it actually gives you matchup advice which should be a staple for every fighting game. Games can be either fast paced where you have no idea what is going on or slow neutral based slugfests. For a fighting game that was made to be very simple catering to the casual person, it has a lot of depth if you take the time to learn everything. If you were scared to get into Guilty Gear because it looked too hard this would be the perfect one for you to play. Just be warned that it still isn't pick up and play. If you're new to fighting games in general and still scared to play, just spend a few hours in tutorial mode and you'll be fine. I really am curious to see how the DLC characters pan out and the dreaded Arc Sys updates. Also Sol's f.S pressure sucks, just FD during it and press a button its not hard please stop falling for it it's the fakest thing ever. The biggest fault this game has is lacking heavily on defensive options and rewarding pretty much mashing play. Some people praise this game's mechanics but they are fine at best and terrible at worst. https://media.tenor.com/images/7bd52009e28a99ccdacf9777ced75c69/tenor.gif
Also 90% of the songs in this game are trash. I can't stop humming Millia's theme because I've heard it over 400 times now in game. Thank god I now chose the only song to play as Midnight Carnival.

Boring and why do I have to play as three different women for three different chapters?

This is the best example of shitting on someone's creation completely, and the funny thing is the way they rebalanced the game is even less of a challenge compared to the original game's difficulties (I played on very hard and it felt like I was playing normal), and Master Ninja is basically one shots out of the ass so good luck having fun with that.
Overall I cannot recommend this to anyone who is interested in Ninja Gaiden 2, it's basically an hollow husk of what it used to be

A concept anyone can instantly understand.
The joy of experiencing a novelty not found in any other game.
A game you will want to play again and again after only a short period of time. They have succeeded in these goals by developing this pinball game! With features not found in any other pinball machine,
it is a title worthy of the genre once called the King of Games. An entirely new, yet classic play field!
It can be played over and over again, with rules both simple and profound! Mind-bogglingly realistic graphics! The ultimate ball and flipper action!

A concept anyone can instantly understand.

Ninja Gaiden 2 happens to be one of my favorite games period now when Tecmo koei announced that there would be an updated version on PS3 I got really excited.

And then I actually played and well I don't think they could fuck it up harder if they tried

There are less enemies in Sigma 2 but the trade off is they have waaaaaaaay more health and their grabs do insane fucking damage. Bosses range from absolute pussies to one grab and you die.

difficulty is also massively lowered across the board and any semblance of challenge is robbed from you the second you get Sigma 2's exclusive new weapon Enma's fang a great sword with absurd damage and an insane UT with massive damage and invincibility out the ass.

Some stages are considerably cutdown due to the removal of keys to open doors which is fucking stupid and makes this even more linear than it already is.

the infamous stair encounter which is usually a highlight of the game is a pathetic affair in this version where there are barely 5 enemies on screen as opposed to the absolute madness that occurs on the original version. chapter 14 (11 in the original) is an absolute joke instead of an all out brawl in the village to get to mount Fuji it's instead a brisk jog with like 2 enemies throughout the entire damn stage.

these are just a few examples of the shit this version pulls.

Now this one is just more of a nitpick rather than a serious dealbreaker issue but what the hell is up with removing the blood and having it be purple mist instead? it fucking sucks and makes attacks have less of an impact.

to add more fuel to this dumpster fire in the new collection some moves just flatout don't work which is just bizarre but be wary of that if you are buying that collection I guess.

In short fuck this version go play the Xbox 360 version if you can (preferably on one of the new consoles since it runs good there)

I have no idea why they marketed this as one game with two bonus games, when the bonus games are drastically better than the main game, and probably the reason why most people bought this game.

I played this shit through like 3 times on the same save when I was 10 and I didnt even realize until like 9 years later this was the one people fucking hated.

Fantastic rail shooter, i always went back and forth with the arcade version back in the day but I never got around to finish it.

This time around, i'm glad I sat down with the PSX version as its an amazing port and it has an exclusive "special mode" which shouldn't be overlooked, its a whole new scenario with different paths and endings depending on how well you perform, some which can be really challenging and require your reactions to be on point. Big fun.

I played this game for 42 minutes and I knew 5 minutes in that this game was made by a redditor, get bent nerd
