Sonic’s most jankiest game is unsurprising not very good. I do like the story with Metal Sonic taking control of Eggman’s robots and ships and also holding Eggman hostage, but man the gameplay is extremely hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really fun, but other times it’s incredibly annoying like the pinball stages. The Secret stages are extremely whatever and are really confusing on how to get the Secret keys mechanic to work. Also Tails’ flying ability makes no sense like he immediately stops going up when he gets to a certain height. Why would you need a height limit for a flying character?
Anyway can’t wait to play Sonic Frontiers the final horizon and see the masterpiece that it is.

I can’t tell if I like the special edition more than the original. Like it gets points for giving us 2 cool survivors (Feng and Ace) for free, but it also loses points for giving us 2 bad killers(the Hag and the Doctor)… also for free.

I can’t believe I’m saying this given that I played this a ton in 2020 and 2021, but… I’d rather play Fortnite than this.

I mean I thought New Super Mario Bros. 2 was an underrated gem, I don’t know what that has to do with this game but it’s still a pretty good game.

After playing this a lot more I started to appreciate this a lot more, but the fact that Rosalina isn’t a playable character is ludicrous 0/10.

Could’ve been 5 stars if the werehog stages weren’t a pace breaker, and if the game had mostly day stages, and if the “you need to collect a certain amount of these to progress” gimmick wasn’t a thing, and if Chip didn’t have this voice that was uncomfortable to listen to.

I wish I’ve gotta Mario Party Superstars instead of this boring game. It doesn’t even have Rosalina in it that automatically makes this game bad.

Honestly this is a 6/10 because of the characters alone (I mostly play as Kim mainly because of how adorable she is), man I just wish the gameplay wasn’t janky. Like seriously how do you block a drive-in shot? And it’s insane that I want to go back to it.
Also why does Jessie cost $13 to buy? (Just for one character) I would understand if the pass that came with cheerleader Jessie was $13. (Which may I remind you, her cheerleader outfit cost $25!!) Just make Jessie $2 and her cheerleader outfit with the pass should be $11.
