Peak. I was hyped for this game because when i didnt have a console i watched nier on youtube. I played it not expecting much and was blown away by the characters and music. The gameplay isn't anything special but it does it's job for the short runtime of the game. This story has my whole heart

A classic I played this very late into it's life but I loved it. Actually scared me a couple times and it's fun to experience how the house changes and to figure how to react to each situation.

Final fantasy 16 is extremely mid. They've had many good characters with their last few games XV, FF7R, XIV, but characters have little personality here. The story requires so many contrivances to work and clive lost any personality after gaining ifrit. Very odd that he was forced to work to capture slaves for years of his life yet acts like this is his first time seeing how cruel they are treated during quests. Side quests are very mmo like, written to be boring and unrewarding. The gameplay is whatever, just use your cool downs when they come up and repeat, dodging is very safe and boss fights are actually well designed but there's nothing interesting about the moment to moment combat.

100% shrines, lightroots and caves
Amazing game, okay sequel, they added new things but at the same time didn't. Anything related to the main story quests was peak zelda, the music and cutscene direction is beautiful. Since I already played breath of the wild the magic of exploring the map just wasn't there which is what I really enjoyed about the first game. So many of the rewards are bad or sometimes you get a reward past the time you would use it. Upgrading armors involves playing the game in a way I don't think is even intended for an exploration/adventure game (running around farming maps). Anyway I hope they don't ever reuse a map again, the underground was extremely disappointing there's pretty much no reason to be down there.

Insanely good game, can't believe I've never played it before. The gameplay loop is so addicting and there's so many fun set pieces. Also everyone complains about Ashley but I found those sections not really fine? A few solo leon sections were actually frustrating but overall a fun action combat game where all your actions are really satisfying.

I skipped playing this during the pandemic because i wanted to wait for more updates, I played through the mistland updates with some friends and it was a blast staying up till 3am playing every few nights. It's like many grindy survival craft games but the biomes and progression is done very well, must play with some friends.

Comfy. Really unique game about coming to terms with death and letting go. The crafting/farming part is whatever but the characters are great. My one issue is that I don't think the game benefits all that much from having the protagonist be silent. Considering they know the actually characters i'd rather they have dialogue with them as the moments between story beats (sailing the seas) get kinda dull because the rest of the cast doesn't have fun interactions with eachother

One of my favorite games of all time, gameplay utilizes every function of the DS well and integrates into the story perfectly. It also has a killer soundtrack, this game was very formative to who i am today. There's no game experience like it.
